Release Date for A Plague Tale: Requiem Revealed
A Plague Tale: Innocence, a 2019 critically acclaimed stealth survival game by Asobo Studios and Focus entertainment, is getting a direct sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem. An extended trailer of the game announced its release.
The game is expected to release on October 18th on the Xbox game pass. Pre-ordering is available on Xbox X|S and PC. The game will be available on PS5, PC, Xbox series S, series X, and Nintendo Switch.
The extended trailer, apart from the first 1-minute 30 seconds cut scene, revealed 10 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay with a better look at various aspects of the game.
A Plague Tale: Innocence was the journey of a 14th-century teenager, Amicia De Rune, and her fight against the French Inquisition, trying to save her cursed little brother Hugo. The game was a huge success, lauded for its detailed world design, stealth elements, beautiful storytelling, and character design.
The sequel’s trailer begins six months after Amicia and Hugo had defeated Grand Inquisitor Vitalis Bénévent and stopped his wicked plans. The world is quite similar to what we saw in 2019, beginning with a warm, peaceful, and calm atmosphere. The siblings have fled their wrecked homeland and moved towards the far south, to new cities, searching for an acute cure for Hugo’s curse, now seemingly under control.
The characters have grown up, and the extended trailer gives a glimpse of the different landscapes, enemies, and weapons.
Death and destruction arise again as Hugo’s powers return and it is evident from the trailer that he has newer and improved abilities. He has a new telepathic link with the rats that allow him to feel the presence of soldiers in tunnels.
Over the next few minutes, the trailer showcases the violent and stealth elements of the game, as fans are expecting. This time the game has its stealth elements mixed with more action and combat.
The climax offers the revelation of another significant power of Hugo- his ability to control a swarm of rats devouring the enemies. Fans hope the pair survives the journey.
