Nintendo Launches Its Own Animation Studio

Nintendo Animation Studio is Nintendo's latest endeavor. The gaming studio has constantly strived to reach out to a larger and ever-growing audience. This can be seen in the mass crossover appeal of various Nintendo IPs. Whether it is the launch of a new game or merchandise, Nintendo always strives to have their finger on the pulse of their community. This can be seen in how enthusiastically they support their community events, as well as the avenues in which they are attempting to garner attention.

Nintendo Acquires Dynamo Pictures

The latest of which being Nintendo Pictures, this new animation studio is based in Tokyo, Japan. The company is a studio that was known formerly as Dynamo Pictures. Behind such beautiful works such as Persona 5 and Monster Hunter World the studio certainly has a list of fine works behind it. This follows a July confirmation of Nintendo stating they will rebrand the company. This appears to be a lucrative acquisition for both parties, seeing as Nintendo can offer iconic IPs to be used by the  Nintendo Pictures in their animations. This is an attempt for the folks at Nintendo to appeal to a wider range of audiences as well as capture attention of those they have not had before.

The Possibilities for the Future

With the world of animation becoming increasingly popular this is an apt business decision and should be a rather fruitful partnership for both parties involved. It is the hope of Nintendo that new, breathtaking animations will help grab the attention of new audiences. This plan has a great chance of success and it is incredibly exciting to see. Featuring the iconic characters of the Nintendo franchise, the sky is the limit for this endeavor. It is my hope that the company will find its footing quickly, as well as be able to capitalize on the attention it has garnered through this acquisition.
