Final Fantasy 16 for PC Version Releases Soon
The highly anticipated launch of FFXVI on PC has finally received an update for its PC release. According to official information from Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida, the game will hit the most widely used platform in less than 12 months.
According to his statement to the Gamer Informer, the game is currently in its final stages of development. Yoshida added that, upon release, the sequel will need highly advanced PC requirements for it to actually run; and run smoothly. However, knowing the epic nature of the game, players globally will have to meet its requirements.
The producer did not give the exact release date. He asked for more time in order to gain clarity on its progress. Final Fantasy 16 first launched in June 2023 on PlayStation. Later, in December 2023, Yoshida announced that they were developing it for PC users.
After the silence about its development and the release of the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth sequel in February, there's finally a spark of hope. Yoshida, in the interview, said that upon further progress, he will communicate the PC requirements to facilitate the game. He also added that the team will begin with a demo to ensure a smooth launch of the sequel.
Urging fans to be patient he said,
“Again, we can't really talk about too much in terms of details of when it's going to come out – I think in a little bit more time we'll be in a better place to announce things. But one thing's for sure: It won't be too distant in the future; it won't be a year, it won't be two years, it will probably be shorter than that, so stay tuned.”
