As always, Apex Legends’ next patch notes will shake up things a bit. The Olympus will look a little different. And the ‘Control’ mode is something everyone has been talking about.

Apex Legends’ next season ‘Defiance’ is about to receive some balance changes. There’s a new legend on the block and two other legends have received some major adjustments.

Crypto was at the center of all the season 12 updates. His Hack has received some significant upgrades which will make him not-so-weak after all. Meanwhile, Caustic’s gas traps have received some nerfs.

Crypto’s drone has been buffed up

The main issue with Crypto and his drones was that the drones had to be manually operated. With the new update, Crypto will still have to manually operate it. However, a new throwable deployment button will allow players to toss the drone in the aimed direction. Players who are looking for a quick scan during action can use this new mode.

Further, Hack’s POV has been tweaked too. The UI has been enhanced and there are quite a few quality changes. Players will now get more details about themselves and the team. You can still use Hack the old way if you want.

Caustic’s Gas Traps to receive slight nerfs

Caustic has not been very lucky this time. In the upcoming season, his gas traps can be destroyed after triggering. This means that your opponents can remove the trap and eliminate the damage before they blow off. Earlier, the triggered gas traps were indestructible and caused significant damage. For some players, Caustic’s changes may not seem very significant. However, this will surely make Caustic a slightly easier adversary to fight against.

Apex Legends’ Season 12 is all set to release on February 8. Alongside the changes, a new limited-time mode ‘Control’ will be unveiled. Mad Maggie, the new legend, will be available in the upcoming season. Some weapons have also been balanced. You will see all these changes once the update rolls out.
