SPYxANYA is an upcoming title based upon the immensely popular manga/anima SpyxFamily. In this title, players will be able to play as Anya Forger as they create a photo book of memories. These memories are centered around the family themselves. There are quite a few destinations for players to explore as well. Each of these adds their own bit of content and great shots into the game. This gives the game a visual focus that really shines due to the phenomenal character and world designs. The game manages to lovingly recreate the world of its source material. And it manages to do so while having a unique premise all its own. What is SPYxANYA: Operation Memories?

To start off it might be appropriate to ask one of the best core questions we have. That question is what is SPYxANYA: Operation Memories? Simply put, this game is a charming and cozy adventure in which players will play as Anya Forger in both a school setting, as well as in more family-oriented situations. This is great, as it not only heightens one of the strengths of the core series, which is the focus on the family but also does so in a way that ties in wonderfully with the game's characters. This makes the world of SPYxANYA spring to life, not only through its characters but its very premise which is very exciting. Story

Starting off, the story within this title is one that fans of the manga/anime can very much get behind. This is due to the fact that the general premise of the game is Anya exploring and taking pictures, which is very on-brand for the character. This will allow players tons of time with many of the series's characters which is great. Additionally, players will be able to form bonds with the characters through tons of interesting interactions.

Gameplay

Now comes the time for the gameplay section, in which we will discuss the various gameplay elements present within SPYxANYA: Operation Memories. Following the game's cozy nature, the majority of the player's time will be spent participating in daily activities. These activities can range from many mundane things such as schoolwork and the like. As well as more creative endeavors such as finding subjects for photographs. No matter which type of gameplay you enjoy, there is something here for everyone. This is one of the strengths of the game, and certainly an element that the developers wish to bring to the forefront.

The driving motivation for the game is creating a photo album is also really great. As it allows the open-ended nature of the game to really serve its characters and the gameplay well. This makes it a title that players can simply relax and enjoy a great story, all the while playing minigames with popular characters and much more. The amount of content present within the game is certainly great as well, with players being able to participate in over fifteen varied minigames.

That is hardly all that this title has to offer players, however. This can be seen in the fact that players are not only able to spend their time with the Forger family but are also able to customize them to an impressive degree. Being able to tweak your character's outfit and general other aesthetics allows players to take full advantage of the game's photo mode, which is also brilliant due to the nature of the game. The variety of locations also manages to make this game feel rewarding as well.

Development

Development for SPYxANYA: Operation Memories appears to be going wonderfully. Developers Groove Box Japan have tentatively slated a release date for this title in 2024. This essentially means that we can expect the game around that date, which is wonderful to hear. Additionally, for players looking for references present throughout the game. It would appear that many references will be baked into the gameplay as well.

Seen in this trailer from Nintendo Direct players can see quite a bit of what this title has to offer. This includes many gameplay segments, as well as a general description of the game. This allows us to glean just a bit of information about this exciting upcoming title. We get to see many of the game's environments, which really lets us in on the direction of the game. The environments present within this title feel as if they have been plucked right out of the anime, which is wonderful. This will ensure that fans will be able to immerse themselves in a way that feels exciting. Additionally, for new players, it will help the game's world feel all the more palpable.

We see many of the environments present within the game in the trailer as well. These include places such as the aquarium, classroom, Forger home, and much more. These locations are sure to play a great part in player's backdrops for fantastic photos. Release Date, Platforms & Editions

As far as a release date goes, there haven't been any dates announced with only a tentative 2024 release being hinted at. This means that the players will have just a little bit longer to wait. As far as platforms go, the game will be coming to multiple platforms including the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch as well as PC. No matter where you play, this game is sure to be charming when it is released. As far as editions go there haven't been any editions of the game announced as of yet.
