2022 is getting closer and Horizon Forbidden West being highly anticipated is an understatement. The visual graphics are incredible and just from eyeing the trailer, you know the gameplay has to be excellent. By a fun-sized snack of a chance you purchase the game, I can only hope you carefully viewed the trailer. 

Horizon Forbidden West Story:

Developed by Guerrilla Games and soon to be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Horizon Forbidden West is an upcoming action, third-person perspective RPG (role-playing game). In this sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, the land is dying and nobody knows why another extinction is coming to Earth. Horizon Forbidden West is set to be released on February 18, 2022 and will be available for PS4 (PlayStation 4) and PS5 (PlayStation 5).

Aloy (a young huntress of the Nora Tribe) has to uncover the secrets in a post-apocalyptic California, Utah, and Nevada, and somehow restore balance to the world. Actually, it is a mysterious plague killing everyone it infects and Aloy is on a mission to prevent it. Reuniting with her friends, confronting new dangers (involving strategic battles against machines and mounted human enemies by using weapons, traps, and gear), and exploring sunken cities, towering mountains, and lush forests, sounds superb. 

Features:

Hack mechanized beasts called Machines (like the Clawstriders) and ride them, as shown in the 14-minute gameplay reveal, from May 27, 2021. You have control over enhanced melee combat, revamped climbing mechanics to climb rocky surfaces (with ledges and a variety of areas that she can climb in the environment), and swimming underwater with a Diving Mask. The Diving Mask boosts Aloy’s speed through the Pacific Ocean currents. 

Battle a new mammoth-like creature called Tremortusk and take advantage of a high vault traversal mechanic, allowing Aloy to hoist herself on top of any object of jumpable height with enough space to pull up. Use a Pullcaster (a projectile-based grappling hook) and Shieldwing (an electronic glider) said by critics to be a Zelda-style glider.
