Microsoft Announces ID@Xbox Showcase for July
Microsoft has exciting news for gamers and indie game enthusiasts: the next indie-focused ID@Xbox Showcase is set to happen on July 11, 2023. IGN will be hosting the showcase, which promises to offer an exclusive “first look at some new games, including trailers, gameplay, reveals, and more.”

The ID@Xbox program, Microsoft's initiative to support independent game developers, has been instrumental in launching some of the most popular indie games of recent years. Cuphead, Ori and the Blind Forest, and No Man's Sky are just a few examples of the success stories nurtured by the program, which provides developers with invaluable tools, resources, and marketing support.
Unveiling a Diverse Lineup of Indie Gems
The July 11 showcase will feature a diverse lineup of indie games from around the world. Confirmed titles include:
- Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals: The highly anticipated sequel to the popular indie adventure game that follows Alex as she investigates a mysterious radio signal in her hometown.
- Cocoon: A captivating puzzle game set in a strange and beautiful world of floating islands, where players solve puzzles to progress.
- Prodeus: A retro-style first-person shooter inspired by classics like Doom and Quake, offering fast-paced action and challenging levels.
- Sable: Embark on a coming-of-age adventure in a vast desert, following Sable's journey to adulthood while exploring the world, solving puzzles, and encountering intriguing characters.
- Thirsty Suitors: A dating sim with a twist, where Jala tries to win the heart of her childhood crush while dealing with five ex-boyfriends vying for her attention.
The ID@Xbox Showcase will be live-streamed on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and IGN.com, starting at 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT, / 6 p.m. BST. Additionally, Microsoft will host a Summer Game Fest demo event from July 11-17, allowing gamers to download and play a selection of upcoming indie games for free.
