The prices for GTA 5 and GTA Online on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S have been revealed by Rockstar. We now know that the games will not be available as free upgrades to existing owners. However, they will be at least 50% off for the first three months on all new-gen platforms.

The pricing for the new editions of GTA 5 and GTA Online is now live on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store, ahead of pre-loading starting today. The stores have also confirmed that there will be no free upgrades available for people who purchased the games on previous console generations.

Within the first three months of release, however, there are huge discounts on all platforms. The following is the cost for all new editions of GTA 5 and GTA Online:

PS5 – GTA 5 and GTA Online Pricing and Discounts

In the first three months after its release, GTA 5 for PS5 will be 75 percent off, costing $9.99 USD / £8.75 / $14.99 AUD. The game will cost $39.99 / £34.99 / $59.95 AUD after three months. The single-player story mode and GTA Online are included in this version of the game.

For the first three months after its debut on PS5, the standalone edition of GTA Online is absolutely free. The single game will cost $19.99 USD / £17.99 / $30.95 AUD after the first three months.

Xbox Series X/S – GTA 5 and GTA Online Pricing and Discounts

For the first three months after release, GTA 5 for Xbox Series X/S will be 50% off, priced at $19.99 USD / £17.49 / $29.97 AUD. The game will cost $39.99 / £34.99 / $59.95 AUD after three months. The single-player story mode and GTA Online are included in this version of the game.

GTA Online on Xbox will not be free when it launches, but it will be on sale for three months for $9.99 USD / £8.99 / $15.47 AUD. The single game will cost $19.99 USD / £17.99 / $30.95 AUD after the first three months.

GTA 5 and GTA Online will launch on March 15 on new-gen consoles. The games will have a lot of enhancements and new features. Such features include three separate graphical modes, “high-end PC visuals,” greater population and traffic variety, and GTA Online updates. You can also transfer your existing GTA Online character and story progress to the new versions.

Despite being nearly ten years old, Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online are both quite popular. While Rockstar has announced that it is working on a new Grand Theft Auto 6, Los Santos will remain open for business until then.
