God of War Ragnarok Wins Best Narrative at The Game Awards 2022

Best Narrative

God of War Ragnarok has received the Best Narrative award at The Game Awards 2022.

One of the more honorable awards at The Game Awards 2022 is Best Narrative. This award looks to honor story-driven games whose tales were so compelling, they swept us off our feet. The lineup of nominees was strong, including A Plague Tale: Reqiuem, Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, and Immortality. However, it was none other than Santa Monica Studios God of War Ragnarok that walked away with the Best Narrative award.

The tough-love relationship between Kratos and Atreus once again wowed our hearts in, God of War Ragnarok. Their epic story based on Greek mythology is always compelling, but the story develops an irresistible father-son bond with Kratos and Atreus throughout. Where Atreus is still finding his way in the world of gods, with only his father to point him in the right direction. It's a narrative that drives directly into our heartstrings, and well worthy of the Best Narrative award.
