God of War Ragnarök Release Date and Cinematic Trailer

God of War Ragnarök releases for the PS4 and PS5 on November 9, 2022. 

It's a momentous day to be a PlayStation gamer because the God of War Ragnarök release date got confirmed today with an epic cinematic trailer. In it, the iconic father and son duo were featured standing head-on with some of the dangers they'll face. Or should we say, the dangers you'll face come when the game releases on November 9, 2022,.

If you're jumping out of your seats as much as we are, you'll be happy to know pre-orders go live on July 15. Precisely, at 10:00 am Local Time (10 am Eastern Time for North America). Each person who pre-orders will receive the Kratos Risen Snow Armor and the Atreus Risen Snow Tunic to use in-game. It's an enticing offer, so while you think about it, watch the CGI trailer that accompanied the release date.

God of War Ragnarök Release Editions

God of War is available in four different versions, with the most expensive ones including all the memorabilia god of war hardoes could want. The God of War Ragnarök – Standard Edition is the base edition of the game for the PS4 and PS5. However, PS4 owners can upgrade to the PS5 versions for only $10 more if the opportunity arises. Following that is the God of War Ragnarök – Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes in-game Darkdale armor for both Kratos and Atreus, as well as a few additional items such as a mini artbook.

If you want to go all out, you could get the God of War Ragnarök – Collector's Edition, which appears to include a 16-inch Mjolnir Replica as well as a slew of other goodies, including everything from the previous edition. However, if you're really looking for the most, the God of War Ragnarök – Jötnar Edition is it. The unpacking video below shows everything included in the two finer, more expensive editions.

From now until November 9th, it appears the only move is to sit tight as we hear and learn more about the game, as there is still a lot we still don't know. We do know that God of War Ragnarök will be the final installment of the epic tale, which began in 2018 with the first God of War game. While we are sad to see it end, we are equally happy to see the series end on a high note with God of War Ragnarök, and it's release on November 9th.
