Fae Farm: 5 Best Tips for Making Money

Published

 on

Making a good amount of money in Fae Farm certainly isn’t an overnight gig, as you’ll come to discover relatively early on as one of its fresh-faced community members. Don’t fret, though — there are actually numerous ways to earn gold and the occasional jar of tips in and around the biomes of Azoria. That is, providing you don’t mind the occasional trek or dungeon crawl, of course.

Anyway, if you have just stumbled upon the newest life and farming simulation game on Switch and PC, then be sure to read on for a few quick tips on how to make a living in the world of Azoria. Here are the best ways to make money in Fae Farm in 2023.

5. Mine Gemstones

If you’re looking to secure a steady cash flow as early on as possible, then you’ll want to start mining for Gemstones in one of Azoria’s many, many Dungeons. It is worth pointing out here, of course, that you’ll need a set amount of durable tools and ingredients to progress deeper into the dungeon’s levels. If you can make it to the twentieth layer, however, then you’ll come to find plenty of rare items, including Topaz, which is worth a pretty penny back up on the surface.

Mining Gemstones certainly isn’t a means to an end, but it is a solid alternative to foraging for flowers and other types of crops. And of course, the further you dig into the story, the better the equipment you will eventually come to obtain; better tools equals better loot, and more importantly, more valuable metals to sell back at the marketplace. So, if you can help it, aim to load up on as many Gemstones as your backpack can carry.

4. Collect Rare Bugs & Fish

If you fancy yourself as a bit of a collector, then you’ll be pleased to know that certain critters—the ones that shine, for example—are actually worth a fair bit of dough on the market. It’s because of this that, when it comes to starting out as a fresh-faced farmhand, catching rare species is hands down one of the best ways to flip a quick profit between quests and milestones. What’s more, it’s also the best way to boost your skill levels and all-round efficiency — which can result in finding even better critters later down the line.

Of course, you’ll need to upgrade a couple of your tools in order to catch the rarer breeds and accrue a higher yield. To do this, you’ll need to visit either Cinder, Eddy, or Mel, all of whom have the ability to boost the overall effectiveness of each of your primary tools. If you can afford it, try and upgrade your fishing rod and net as soon as possible, as the sturdier the kit — the better the catch.

3. Accept Contracts

There’s a reason why we spoke about keeping ahold of a few spare materials in our beginner’s guide — to sell for a higher profit after accepting a Shipping Contract. These Contracts, which can be obtained after beating a fairly large chunk of the story and wiping out a few layers of a Dungeon or two, require you to locate and extract certain key materials found around the world in exchange for a larger sum of gold. Annoyingly, these quests are only available for a short amount of time — so it’s always best to keep a surplus of each material, if you can help it.

On top of the genetic Shipping Contracts, there’s also the fishing quests, which operate in a similar way as the others. In these cases, you’ll want to have an upgraded fishing rod on hand, as this will allow you to catch the breed in question and claim a higher price. Granted, this won’t be one of the first things you’ll do in Fae Farm, but once you’ve discovered it, it’s something you’ll want to stick to for the duration of your time in Azoria.

2. Complete Main Quests

Seeing as there’s a solid forty-plus hours of story to chew through, you’ll definitely want to gnaw away at it as soon as you’re able to. And yeah, it’s a bit of a cop out answer, but the reality is, completing main quests is actually one of the quickest ways to make money in Fae Farm. What’s more, it’s also the best way to unlock new areas on the map, as well as rarer materials and crops.

Truth is, you’ll be spending the bulk of your time chomping through quests, anyway, so chances are you won’t ever really run out of cash. For the sake of keeping your pockets flushed with coin, though, you’ll want to remain as consistent as possible, and aim to onboard as many tasks as your agenda can handle.

1. Harvest Crops & Flowers

As soon as you unlock the beds needed to sow seeds and grow crops and flowers, you’ll want to start plucking as many as you can to earn a passive income. What’s good about growing crops is that you can do it in every season — and nearly every type will ultimately earn you a set amount of revenue. So, for the sake of making a few pretty pennies on the side, try not to neglect those agricultural duties.

As you start out, you’ll only have access to a few seeds, so you’ll need to start growing flowers as soon as possible in order to make a bit of gold on the side. As you acquire better upgrades for your tools, you’ll start to obtain better seeds and materials, at which point you’ll be able to harvest rarer crops. To start, though, just aim for flowers; they’re easy to grow, and they pop up frequently.
