Best Weapons in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

Looking to venture into Ubisoft’s newest action-adventure, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, for the first time? Get ready to get up close and personal with adversaries with swords and daggers as your main weapons. As damage dealer Basim, you’ll wield a sharp-edged sword in the right hand and an edgy dagger in the left.

While the weapons in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage are fewer than in previous entries, a pretty generous amount of weapons are still scattered around the map. Each one offers unique abilities and upgrades as you progress, catered to your specific playstyle. But how do you choose which weapons are worth your time? Well, our best weapons in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is a great place to start.

5. Hidden One Dagger

Best Weapons in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

At its most basic attack, the Hidden One Dagger deals damage up to a stat of 21. However, the dagger takes it up a notch by unleashing poison, which “thickens the air” whenever you strike down enemies.

The poison damage works by successfully killing poisoned foes in close quarters. Every melee kill of a poisoned enemy by the Hidden One Dagger will release a poison cloud. After that, the poison cloud will inflict additional damage on all nearby enemies.

Granted, the dagger’s poison damage isn’t extremely potent. However, it can add up over time for maximum damage. Also, feel free to pair the dagger with the Hidden One Sword for a more devastating effect.

How to Get Hidden One Dagger

You can equip the Hidden One Dagger when you explore the Water Mill in the Northern Wilderness beyond the safety of the walls of Baghdad. Head North, then mark the first chest you see using Enkidu.

4. Initiate of Alamut Dagger

Next up, we have the Initiate of Alamut Dagger. As far as daggers go, Initiate of Alamut Dagger is your best bet to deal devastating damage to enemies. It deals damage at a rate of 30 points.

However, thanks to the dagger's Aggressive Defense perk, you can rack up that damage output. Whenever you successfully parry, you’ll chip away at enemies’ defenses, leaving them open for a consecutive deadly blow carrying an additional damage output of 25 points.

How to Get Initiate of Alamut Dagger

As the name goes, players can equip the Initiate of Alamut Dagger when they complete the “A New Beginning” main mission during the prologue. The dagger is given to new players to train with before the stakes are higher, giving you more time to get familiar with its Aggressive Defense perk.

3. Zanji Uprising Sword

Damage output for swords is much higher compared to daggers. So, you’ll want to always have at least one sword in your corner. With the Zanji Uprising Sword, you can deal an impressive damage output of 60 points. It’s the greatest output you can achieve at the basic level of all swords.

If you’re less skilled in parries and more proficient with dodges, the Zanji Uprising Sword is the best way to go. It ensures that every time you perform a successful dodge, your next strike deals an additional 50% damage output. After all, most times you go on defense, it will be to dodge, creating a win-win situation.

How to Get Zanji Uprising Sword

To get the Zanji Uprising Sword, head to the Shari’, Harbiyah region. You should find the sword stashed in the fourth gear chest at the Metal Factory. You may need to tow down the guards and their training ground to gain access to the factory. Alternatively, you can go to the other side and use a throwing knife to break the lock on the door.

2. Rostam Sword

Best Weapons in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

The Rostam Sword deals nearly the same damage output as the Zanji Uprising Sword. However, the Rostam Sword becomes deadlier with each successful hit, doubling down on your attacks.

Thanks to its Chain Reaction perk, Rostam Sword ensures that every consecutive hit unleashes an additional 5% damage output. The damage grows deadlier, reaching a whopping maximum of 50%.

So, make sure to unleash subsequent attacks relentlessly, as it’s the only way to build consecutive damage output and chip away at enemies’ health bars. The 5% damage output adds up quite fast, and in no time, you’ll be unleashing deadly blows at their peak.

Oh, and the maximum boost transfers between enemies, so you really want to keep up the quick and consistent blows to make the most of the sword’s ability.

How to Get Rostam Sword

While equipping the Rostam Sword is optional, it completely pays off, especially for aggressive players and relentless assassins. You must complete the “Weapons Dealer” contract to get your hands on the sword.

1. Initiate of Alamut Sword

Initiate of Alamut The sword deals reliable damage, which is great, seeing as you can equip the sword early in your playthrough. The sword deals damage at a rate of 50 and defense damage at 50.

As with the Initiate of Alamut Dagger, its sword counterpart thrives on players who master parry. Every time you successfully parry an incoming attack, your next attack deals an additional 50% damage output.

As much as you get the sword early, it comes in handy throughout your playthrough. So long as you’re proficient with parrying, you should enjoy the sword’s cranked-up defensive damage capabilities.

How to Get Initiate of Alamut Sword

You can get the Initiate of Alamut Sword from Rebekah in the “A New Beginning” main mission during the prologue in the early stages of the game. This allows you plenty of time to master parries and take full advantage of the sword’s maximum damage output.

A quick tip: You can always upgrade all the daggers and swords in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. For instance, you can upgrade Initiate Alamut Sword’s damage output from 50 to 58 at level two and 65 at level three. However, you’ll need to acquire each sword's required crafting items, like schematics, steel, and leather, to upgrade.
