Every inch of Basim, the main character in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, is covered in near-sci clothing that also serves as his armor. That’s right. Basim’s outfit is also his armor, so you can protect yourself from harm while looking stylish while at it. However, not every armor/outfit on paper translates to Baghdad. Some armor has more valuable stats and abilities, while others marry better with certain essential weapons. To help you decide which armor to hunt for and upgrade, we’ve compiled the best armor in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage for your reading pleasure.

5. Initiate of Alamut Outfit

Stealth gameplay requires sneaking behind enemies without making a sound. And while you can try to tip-toe around avoiding any noise emitters, Initiate of Alamut Outfit can make it so you’re as silent as a feather in the wind, regardless. It does so through the Silent Blade perk, which allows you to make 50% less noise when performing assassinations. You can upgrade its effect further up to 100%, allowing you to weave in and out of chain assassinations undetected.

If your Notoriety Level is at its peak, then you absolutely want to have the Initiate of Alamut Outfit in your corner. Moreover, you can get the outfit early on in your playthrough, giving you enough time to upgrade. At full speed, the Initiate of Alamut Outfit is handy enough to get you through to the end of the game.

How to Get Initiate of Alamut Outfit

Simply complete the “First Order” mission to get the outfit. The mission is in the prologue, before you reach Baghdad, and requires you to defeat The Slaver Al Ghul in Caravanserai.

4. Hidden One Outfit

Hidden One Outfit

Deadly Moment, the Hidden One Outfit perk, comes in pretty handy, especially when moving in for silent kills. It works by giving your focus meter a 5% increase when performing stealth kills, which you can upgrade up to 15%. It’s the perfect outfit for stealth gameplay and players who gravitate toward Basim’s focus ability. When fully charged, the Focus Meter allows you to take out multiple guards all at once.

Although the focus percentage increase may seem negligible in vast Baghdad, its effect can quickly add up, especially if you combine the outfit with the Hidden One Dagger and Sword weapons. At full upgrade, Deadly Moment can take out entire areas filled with guards and exploit the full potential of Basim’s flawless assassinations.

How to Get Hidden One Outfit

Hidden One Outfit is accessible early on in your playthrough. However, you’ll need a keen eye to uncover its location. Head out to the Mazalim Courts in the administrative district of Round City. You’ll find the outfit in any of the gear chests in Round City.

3. Rostam Outfit

Rostam Outfit

The Rostam Outfit’s perk, Sound of Silence, works similarly to Initiate of Alamut Outfit. However, Rostam eliminates any noise you make up to 100% with upgrades while Basim is on the move. It’s the perfect sound muffler, as it allows you to make use of its perk at whatever point you are in Baghdad. You could be sprinting past a hostile area or performing stealth assassinations. Keep in mind, though, that the outfit doesn’t eliminate sight!

How to Get Rostam Outfit

Simply complete the “The Marked Coins” contract that you can pick up from the Contract Boards at any Hidden One’s Assassin’s Bureau. Upgrades, though, will require you to complete “The Traitor” and “Orion’s Belt” contracts to upgrade to tiers two and three, respectively.

2. Sand Outfit

Sand Outfit

Armor often serves as your best defense. So, Sand Outfit’s Second Chance perk fits perfectly into gameplay. The outfit takes on a Prince of Persia aesthetic. It allows you to not only survive a lethal hit but also slow down time. The latter feels almost superhuman, especially when scaled up from three to five seconds at full upgrade. Its full potential, of course, breaks through when combined with the Sand Sword and Dagger pair.

How to Get Sand Outfit

You’ll need to buy the Deluxe Pack from the in-game store. But players who already have the Deluxe Edition should have no problem accessing the Sand Outfit. Alternatively, you can access it via the Ubisoft+ Games Subscription Service.

1. Milad’s Outfit

Best Armor in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage Milad’s Outfit

Among all the outfits in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, Milad’s Outfit offers the flashiest ancient Isu design with a futuristic finish. Additionally, it infuses a unique, potent perk called Forgotten Terror. Forgotten Terror lets you unleash a bright flash of lightning on all enemies within range. The only catch is that you have to perform successful air assassinations to trigger the perk by jumping above an enemy and killing them.

Disorienting enemies comes in handy when thinning the herd. Any enemies caught within the Forgotten Terror are withheld from attacking you, thus becoming vulnerable to an inevitable end. Milad’s Outfit doesn’t offer upgrades – and that’s fine. Its base perk is powerful enough to disorient enemies within range. You even get a deeper, somewhat digitized voice to boot.

For its overwhelming power, you’ll need to put in the effort to add the outfit to your collection, particularly since you get the outfit in the latter stages of the game. Once you do, though, stronger enemies in later stages become easier to take out.  You can gain an advantage over enemies close by and plan the perfect escape before more show up.

After interacting with Nehal in “The Calling” mission, head out to the oasis north of Baghdad, aptly named Northern Oasis. Then, dive underwater to access a cave that has hidden magical treasures, among them Milad’s Outfit. You’ll need to bring with you five mysterious shards and slot them into an ancient mechanism in a hidden chamber in exchange for the outfit. These are found or picked off specific NPCs’ bodies by pickpocketing, looting, or killing.
