By now most of us know this game but basically, four to fifteen players are on a spaceship and must complete tasks which are basically small mini-games in order to win. One to three of the players are imposters and try to sabotage the crew by killing other players and causing overall chaos. The goal however is to do so discretely, and not get caught in the process.

The thing that makes Among Us one of the best comedy games is the survivor-style voting system, where players can get voted off the ship if they are acting too suspect. From picking on a player to others pleading for their life, it is always filled with laughter the voting process always makes for an entertaining time. Furthermore, it really shows who's good at lying and who's not. So, if you’ve gone without playing Among Us yet, give it a try because you won’t regret it.

4. Justice Sucks

Justice Sucks is an action stealth game and the sequel to Samurai Punk’s first game Roombo: First Blood. You play as a Roomba, known as Dusty, that prevents burglaries by any means necessary. Although the plot is already hilarious in itself, the gameplay is truly what makes Justice Sucks one of the best comedy games right now. As a deadly Roomba, you have the ability to suck up various household items and shoot them out as deadly projectiles and distractions. Set up deadly traps or hack other appliances to cause mayhem to your enemies. 

In the second game, you take on the evil corporation known as FamilyCorp, whose job is to keep crime high to profit off their security systems. After discovering Dusty’s abilities they send agents to kidnap his owners and in the process, Dusty ends up in the TV dimension. Filled with neon 90’s style animation and over-the-top characters that play into the chaos perfectly. As you progress through each level be prepared for chippy banter and hilarious gameplay.

3. Fall Guys

Fall Guys can best be described as if the gameshow Wipeout was a battle royale game. In essence, 60 players load into a match and compete on various obstacle courses until there is one man left standing. In total, there are over 60 obstacle courses to try your luck, all of which are unique and provide a good challenge. From races where you must hop from lily pads to dodging giant pieces of fruit, the gameplay is outrageously silly and addictive. 

The gameplay is incredibly simple: you can run, jump, and grab. That's all there is to it. But don't take it lightly, because it's the chaos and unpredictability of each obstacle that really boasts the challenge. Nonetheless, the comedy comes whenever you get launched off the map, sabotage another player, or are in a neck-to-neck race for the finish line. As a result, Fall Guys is easily one of the best comedy games on PlayStation 5 right now. Oh, we almost forgot to mention, it's also completely free.

2. Goat Simulator 3

Coffee Stain Studios' Goat Simulator series is a sandbox comedy game that is a trailblazer for the genre. Entirely owing to how random and absurd the concept of their game just is. And with each new installment in the series, those concepts just kept reaching new hilarious heights.

The latest title, Goat Simulator 3, is a perfect example of their concept at its best. Set on the island of San Angora, you are free to explore and do whatever you want, as a goat. But don't let that stop you from living your best life. From driving tractors off jumps to using superhero powers, the world of San Angora is truly your playground.

What's more, Goat Simulator 3 added in a ton of wacky goat types, from tall ones to striped goats and a bunch more. In addition to the new cast of goats, there is a ton of customization and cosmetics to unlock through challenges and quests to “build” your ideal goat. Overall, you never know what you'll get yourself into in Goat Simulator 3. Evidently why it's one of the best comedy games, not just on PlayStation 5, but in its genre.

1. The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark

The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark is an 8-bit point-and-click game consisting of mystery and hilarious dialogue. You play detective McQueen, who's taking on the paranormal in America's 34th most haunted city, Twin Lakes. After the dark division closes down, McQueen and his trusty partner Dooley go independent. Gameplay consists of exploring a linear map finding clues, solving puzzles, and interviewing bizarre characters. Each level is a chapter or case to solve, which are all different from the last and have some hilarious plots and twists.
