Suicide Squad Goes Offline an Hour Into Early Access

Updated on

Slated for February 2, 2024 release, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has already hit its first major blow after receiving a queer bug during its early access launch on Monday.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League early in-game preview

Following a major bug report from players, Rocksteady Studios has pulled down Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League from its early access presence. In an event that has marked a low start for the game, players and fans globally could not understand the source of this absurd bug that caused an autocomplete command for the game.

The game, which fans were looking forward to, was active on early access for less than an hour on Monday, January 29, 2024. Players who eagerly jumped onto the game's for an early glimpse found themselves facing an auto-complete bug. All the chapters and game levels were active, thus allowing them to jump to the final chapter as if on an auto-complete game mode.

The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Auto-complete Bug

Like its predecessors in the Suicide Squad series, the upcoming sequel should have had only its first chapter active. Players would then need to unlock each chapter by winning current levels and following the set rules. However, in an unheard situation, when Rockstar uploaded the game, it experienced what fans are calling an “auto-complete” bug.

Within the hour, players and fans alike have gotten a grasp on a multitude of in-game story spoilers and feature revelations. Such a move is often devastating to a game since many players retain interest in the unknown. However, it is also possible that such a scenario will attract gamers who enjoy the kind of easy way out since guides might come out faster, that is, if anyone really got an intimate look.

While an hour is enough time to crash a game, it's also relatively insufficient to gain complete insight into the game. For this reason, Rockstar quickly rushed to remove Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League from early access to ease the damage. The game that was on early access on Deluxe Edition on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, or Xbox Series X is currently under maintenance.

As we await reports on the progress of the game, we can only wonder how the team will choose to compensate the players who pre-ordered the game. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches on February 2, 2024; thus, these gamers need 72 hours of gameplay before then.
