Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: 5 Ghost Type Pokémon That Will Kill You

As cute and cuddly as some Pokemon are. This is not always the case. For every cute little creature you would love to pal around with. There are quite a few Ghost-type Pokemon that are absolutely terrifying. Sometimes, this terror is rather surface-level. Other times, you need to do some digging in order to find these deep dark secrets. So, without further ado, here are Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: 5 Ghost Type Pokémon That Will Kill You.

5. Mimikyu

Mimikyu is an abhorrent-looking Pokemon. This Pokemon‘s whole purpose is to consume the souls of those who dare look under its cloak. This cloak is fashioned to look like a Pikachu, but this creature is anything but. While the Pokemon intends to be loved, its ghastly appearance makes for something you would want to stay far away from. While its appearance may frighten some, there are theories that it takes this appearance simply out of survival as it is believed that the sunlight weakens this Pokemon.

This Pokemon combines Ghost and Fairy types and serves as our first Pokemon that would kill you if given a chance. If someone or something is unfortunate enough to tear the rag from this creature, it will enact vengeance on them. While it is possible for the Mimikyu to repair its rags, it often does not and simply sulks about it. All in all, these Pokemon are undoubtedly creepy and have many quirks about it. But it would be best if you did not let your guard down around this Pokemon.

4. Palossand

Palossand appears to be a relatively well-constructed sandcastle. However, this Pokemon controls the sand to sweep opponents and victims under and devour them. This Pokemon is a Ghost Ground type, which makes it somewhat unique in its typing. It is the final evolution of Sandyghast, which also has a rather ghastly appearance. The design of this Pokemon is unique as, who would've thought to make a sandcastle so frightening?

Palossand is one Pokemon that once you see it, you won't be able to forget it. This Pokemon is also known as the Beach Nightmare, making it rather spooky for anyone wanting to go surfing any time soon. This design shows how Pokemon can make them highly creepy even with mundane objects. Furthermore, this Pokemon indicates that you cannot trust what you see in the Pokemon world, as this Ghost type might devour you. Finally, it is an example of the Pokemon team finding ways to make the most innocent items appear ghastly under a microscope.

3. Litwick

Litwick is a Ghost Fire type that resembles a candle. This Pokemon was introduced in Generation 4. But as is often the case with Pokemon Pokedex entries, they shine a negative light on this Pokemon. This creature tends to absorb the life force of other creatures and store it within its flame. If that wasn't creepy enough, simply staring at this creature will put you in mortal danger. This Pokemon often portrays itself as a guide, ultimately leading Pokemon as well as humans to their demise.

This isn't the only feature of this Pokemon. However, as in the Pokemon anime, it is shown that this creature can interfere with electronics. Again, this is a feature that lends itself well to the ghostly lore of this Pokemon. So if you ever need a light source in the Pokemon world, make sure to avoid this candle altogether. For these reasons, we consider Litwick to be one of the Ghost-type Pokemon that would surely kill someone. While this candle's appearance may seem relatively innocent, it will have no remorse as it slowly drains you of your life force to feed its fire.

2. Drifloon

Drifloon is another example of a Pokemon looking innocuous but, in fact, is anything but. This creature's primary purpose is to kidnap children. Yes, that's right, kidnap children. Drifloon lures children in with its balloon-like appearance and whisks them away to, assumedly, their doom. While one Pokedex entry is rather mundane and focuses on the more innocent aspects of this creature, another lays out what this creature has been doing to kids in the Pokemon universe—kidnapping them.

While its appearance may seem sweet and innocent, this Pokemon's intentions are not. This is a creature that, given a chance, would certainly kill any unsuspecting child in the Pokemon world. This creature is another case of Pokemon seeming very sweet and innocent on the surface, but there is a much darker truth underlying their Pokedex entry. So if you ever see a Drifloon floating by, just know that it intentionally is off to take away a child or perhaps it already has.

1. Greavard

Greavard is a graveyard dog that is being introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This creature is absolutely adorable looking. Yet this is only a ruse, as the creature will play with you until you die. This Pokemon was featured heavily in its own trailer for the games and has quickly become a fan favorite. This positive polarizing pupper, features a candlewick at the top of its head. However, this candle holds a dark secret.

This dog will wait around graveyards for people to meet their demise. This Pokemon is a shaggy-looking, gray dog that accompanies Pokemon and their partners to their deaths. This dog usually rests underground with the candle at the top of its head sticking out of the ground. However, this tactic is to get people passing by to play with it. People looking to play with this dog should do so at their own risk, as it will slowly but surely, drain your life force from you until you meet your end. This creature is said to have origins in different lore of doglike beasts worldwide. It will be exciting to see what the developers do with this dog in the latest games, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
