Cyberpunk 2077 Is Holding an In-game Treasure Hunt to Win a Custom RTX 4090
Cyberpunk 2077 is riding their recent hype train even further, as now they're giving players a chance to snag three custom Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphic cards by solving a cryptic in-game challenge. Developers CD Projekt Red took to Twitter to announce that “A ‘runner found a weird code while diving the net”. Supposedly, if players find this in-game code, scattered somewhere throughout Night City, they'll be rewarded with some “preem hardware”.
That preem hardware they're talking about is none other than an RTX 4090 graphics card, featuring a custom Cyberpunk 2077 backplate. And three are up for grabs if you can first decipher the code, which you must then find in-game. So the race is on as players scramble to find any clue as to where this code may be hiding, which could be just about anywhere or within any in-game text.
CD Projekt Red's blog post about the challenge mentions that they left a clue within this Twitter post embedded below. Furthermore, their post says “make sure to have your Kiroshi set to Photo Mode, ready to use. You know, just in case.” So there are a couple of leads to work off of, but they're rather discreet, to say the least. Developers also mentioned in the post to stay tuned to their Twitter, as they'll be sharing more clues over the coming weeks.

Cyberpunk 2077's Recent Rise to Fame
Cyberpunk 2077 has recently found its way back into the spotlight. This is primarily due to the success and popularity of its TV show spin-off, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which was recently released on Netflix. The game also received an Edgerunners Update, with free DLC and custom content inspired by the anime. Both of these factors have contributed to a resurgence of players in Cyberpunk 2077. So much so that the game recently surpassed The Witcher 3's concurrent player count on Steam.
Safe to say the excitement surrounding the game will only increase with the launch of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty; the game's first expansion, launching in 2023. But while gamers wait for that, they'll be scrambling night city ambitiously and tirelessly trying to find the hidden cryptic code for their very own custom RTX 4090. Full rules and regulations for the treasure hunt can be found here. But hurry up, because the games are well underway!
