The main goal of the story in the trading card game is to stop Ragnarök and save Midgard from destruction. However, there are multiple ways to go about this.

Players must choose their characters, who are all unique with varying traits and work together to save Midgard. Not to mention defeat the enemies and bosses that are frequented throughout the game. Furthermore, each quest you take in the God of War: Card Game is a recreation of the monsters and locations from the original game. Based on the popular Witcher series, Gwent features both a video game adaptation and physical versions. The physical trading card game is a standalone game with up to two players. Each player will pick a faction to simulate war. The factions include The Northern Realms, Scoia'Tael, Monsters, or Nilfgaardian Empire.

Each player takes turns building up their armies, with the highest overall strength on the battlefield winning the round. Matches are played best of three, so you'll have to conquer at least two of the rounds to win the match.
