Halo: The Master Chief Collection Receives Huge Update
Expect a surge of players returning to Halo: The Master Chief Collection as it just got a chunky update. Every single Halo game included in this collection is seeing some massive changes and inclusions of some old favorite game modes.
The biggest change to be brought along with this update is the inclusion of a new mode Flood Firefight. Playable in Halo 3: ODST, the new mode is adding a ton of new content in the face of enemies. According to 343 Industries blog post “In ODST, there are also three new types of Flood Combat Forms—the infected civilian, the infected ODST, and the infected Elite Major which sports red armor and energy shields.”. In addition to this, new Flood enemies can now use vehicles and even function weapons like turrets to add to the challenge.
There's more where that came from, as the new flood is coming equipped with brand new animations. “Stalker Forms can climb on walls and deploy as Ranged Forms in unexpected locations, totally changing the way the classic Firefight missions play.” says 343 Industries. Additionally, “Flood can also drop onto the map via dispersal pods.”. Lastly, players can be infected and resurrected by the flood and will inevitably have to turn on their teammates.
If you want to know more about what 343 had to say, all the new awesome Flood Firefight features can be found here.

Co-op Campaign and Other Additions
What's equally been buzzing for the update is the addition of co-op multiplayer to Halo 3 and ODST campaigns. This means that Xbox and PC can now both play the campaigns cooperatively online.
Aside from that, there was a hoast of small additions to each game. Weapon customization was added for Halo 4's campaign and new skulls were brought to Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 3: ODST to name a couple.
