The perfect getaway for a skiing destination may sound intimidating. Now, let’s add more than skiing during the snowfall. You own your own firearms and are shooting at enemies while skiing in “Fracked.” The combat is nicknamed “run and cover” gunplay for a reason.

From the same creators of “Phantom: Covert Ops,” “Fracked” is a VR action/adventure. In the summer of 2021, we expect the release of this shooter game. It should be released on the following platforms: “PS4 (Playstation 4),” “PS4 Pro (Playstation 4 Pro),” and “PS5 (Playstation 5). While “Fracked is going to be available for “PS5,” there will be enhancements exclusive to the console.

Gameplay:

While you are stranded on a remote facility, you can ski down a mountain, climb to extreme adventures, zipline to various areas, and shoot your enemies. Those you shoot at (with deadly, fully interactive weapons) are a legion of interdimensional enemies. As you can imagine, you are speeding down the mountain head-first, while eliminating the enemies. Another thing is, your enemies will be shooting back at you, so you have to outsmart and outgun them (with 1:1 tactile weapon reloading and grabbable cover). I hope you did not think skiing would be so easy.

This fast-paced, first-person shooter game also showcases climate change emergency and cutting commentary. “Fracked” may be the movie action lovers were waiting on, but instead, they get to play it as a video game. The developers were definitely aiming for a 2021 version of “Cliffhanger” and “Die Hard.”

While skiing in the game, you will physically have to lean, having full control of the player, to steer your way. And say it is not so, because in the trailer of “Fracked,” the Christmas song you hear repeatedly, annually, “Let It Snow,” is being played. Does this indicate that you can humorously shoot your enemies to background Christmas music? Time will tell on whether or not that is the case.
