Xbox Game Pass Has Added A Surprising Batch of Triple-A Games

If Game Pass happened to be the Great White from Jaws, and we, the players, were just the rusty old boat destined to capsize, then it would be appropriate for us to use the well-known line “I think we're going to need a bigger boat” right about now. Why? Because Microsoft just will not hold off on the waves of games for their overflowing Game Pass library.

Of course, we can't complain — though we are struggling to keep up with the constant flow of freebies finding sanctuary on the neatly-priced subscription service. And while most of us are still just about settling in to the likes of Aragami 2, and not to mention mopping up the achievements from SkateBird — few players have already started chewing through the next course.

Rolling out of the blue like the Great White itself, Game Pass has added another huge batch of games, with some cheeky triple-A titles also planting roots for the foreseeable future. One that stands out a great deal more than the rest, of course, is Marvel's Avengers, which garnered quite the following since its launch last year. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, with seven additional layers also buried underneath.

So, what's new on Game Pass?

On top of Marvel's Avengers, Game Pass subscribers can now get their claws on Lemnis Gate, UNSIGHTED, Astria Ascending, Scarlet Nexus, The Somnium Files, Mighty Goose, Dandy Ace and Lost Words: Beyond The Page. And if that's hasn't caught your eye, then you'll also be pleased to know that the Games With Gold plan has also announced four other freebies for October.

Included in October's offerings is Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, which will both launch via backwards compatibility. And then, to ice the cake, you'll also get Aaero and Hover, both being Xbox One games. All in all, quite the banquet to tuck into next month. So, what are you waiting for? Let the feast begin.

You can pick up Xbox Game Pass for $9.99 a month or Game Pass Ultimate for $14.99. You'll have access to the October freebies up until the 31st, at which point the line-up will once again switch over.
