However, as it progressed, it introduced a more modern setting that brought the titles more recognition. The games are shooter titles with intense gameplay. Also, they have well-written narratives that keep players engaged for hours. In this article, we discuss all the Call of Duty campaigns you can enjoy with friends. Also, we rank them from worst to best. 

10. Ghosts

You get to see the story from the protagonist’s perspective. However, it includes other playable characters. In addition, for the first time in the series, the game has NPC human playable avatars. It mimics much of the gameplay of other titles. That means it has a mission-based campaign and an open-ended multiplayer game narrative. However, it comes with additional settings and upgraded tactical gameplay. They include new squad modes and superweapons. Other than that, zombie mode in this game has been replaced with a co-operative shooter feature called Extinction.

The game’s campaign revolves around a war for the solar system. A dangerous group is currently residing there. Additionally, they are attempting to take over the heavens. You embody a lieutenant of the Special Combat Air Recon. Moreover, they also have a transforming fighter that is customizable and a central hub ship. Infinite Warfare also has new gameplay mechanics. They include systems such as zero-gravity environments. Moreover, the game equips you with a boost pack and a grappling hook to move through zero-gravity areas easily. Once you stabilize, you can easily visit other planets and places in the system.

On the other hand, the zombie mode returns with four maps. The battle royale holds up to 100 players per round. It is also considered the campaign mode in this game. Also, it has the largest map in all the titles of the franchise.

Players immerse themselves in a realistic modern setting as secret agents in liaison with a group of special forces. Afterwards, they team up with a bunch of rebels in an attempt to take down a paramilitary and a terrorist group. They invaded the country to try and get their hands on a stolen shipment of chlorine gas. Modern Warfare has a special mode that supports cooperative play quests that follow the events of the campaign. Additionally, the multiplayer feature allows cross-platform progression for the first time in this franchise.

A CIA operative and his team of agents are on the hunt for a mysterious spy. Players dive into a solo venture when following the narrative. However, it also includes a multiplayer and co-op zombie game mode. You also get to customize your character and choose their intelligence agency, skin tone, nationality, and gender. Other than that, players can give them different personality traits. The quests have a non-linear design. It gives you many ways to approach the goals set in the game. Also, you can retreat into a safe house in-between missions.

Vanguard follows the narrative of a group of special forces attempting to face an upcoming threat. Its campaign has similar gameplay mechanics to the renowned Modern Warfare. So, you can mount wielded weapons to flat surfaces. Additionally, you can interact with doors and carry out takedowns. Other than that, the new gameplay features give you the ability to use a more advanced tactical approach in battle. Players can blindly fire from behind cover. Also, they can break through weak elements or create new paths to finish tasks.

Players take part in 13 missions that are set in World War II. Furthermore, it involves battles between powerful countries. The match mirrors many aspects of other games in the series. You can carry a total of two guns at one time, as well as grenades. Aside from that, the levels are played with a team of computer-controlled soldiers. Also, they assist the player by shooting enemies and completing tasks. They include infantry, infiltration, sniper missions, and large-scale assaults, night fights, and tank assaults, among others. Additionally, World of War is not a multiplayer game.

You play as several different characters during the single-player campaign. That means you get to change perspectives as the game progresses. But you have to avoid taking damage for a limited amount of time.

It is centered around a squad in a rare division. Players get to follow their battles in a historical setting. Additionally, you are in charge of supplying the player with extra ammunition, health, or grenades. Aside from that, players target grenades and conduct target spotting. Both of these are automatically refilled in the campaign. WW2 has a multiplayer mode that showcases areas that are not present in the campaign. Furthermore, it comes with a new division system that differs from the one featured in the game’s prequel. Players can interact with each other through the social hub.

The title is a first-person shooter match. You are tasked with investigating the return of a terrorist who was once thought dead. Players can select different game modes. Additionally, you get to use near-future military gear to fight against other players, AI, or undead creatures. Also, you can traverse the map in all directions. Other than that, you can perform wall jumps from certain walls. Black Ops 7 campaign had 11 total missions. Furthermore, completing all of them unlocks the endgame mode, which puts up to 32 players in the match. They must then do a specific number of tasks within a given time.
