Last Flag: Everything We Know
Last Flag is here to shake up the shooter scene — and it’s not playing by anyone else’s rules. Imagine a fast-paced 5v5 team shooter, built entirely around one of gaming’s most classic modes: Capture the Flag. But this time, it’s bigger, bolder, and built from the ground up to be a spectacle.
From the first reveal, Last Flag instantly grabbed attention with its flashy visuals, game show energy, and unique gameplay twist — teams don’t just fight, they hide their flags anywhere on the map before the action begins. This game is about outsmarting, outplaying, and stealing the spotlight. With sign-ups open for alpha playtesting and a full launch set for 2026, fans are hungry for more.
If you’re wondering: What’s different about the gameplay? Who’s making it? What platforms is it coming to? What does the trailer reveal? Here’s everything we know about Last Flag.
What is Last Flag?

Last Flag is a 5v5 third-person arena shooter with a major twist: it’s all about Capture the Flag, but set inside a game show. Instead of military ops or battle royales, this game drops you into a televised arena with lights, cameras, and an audience cheering your every move. It’s fast, stylish, and designed for chaos. Two teams battle it out in matches designed to last around 20 minutes or less., and your main job is simple: hide your team’s flag, find the enemy’s, steal it, run it back, and then defend it for 60 seconds to win. But with flashy moves and bizarre gadgets, it’s not as easy as it sounds.
Last Flag Story

The game isn’t about a gritty war story — it’s set in a wild 1970s-style game show, where two teams of flashy “Contestants” compete in front of a live audience. You’re not a soldier, you’re a performer in the world’s biggest televised competition, hosted by a mysterious showrunner named Victor Fex. Instead of grim battlefields, you play in colorful outdoor arenas full of lights, music, and chaos. And as mentioned above, players have to hide your flag, find the enemy’s, and pull off bold plays with your team while entertaining the crowd. In short, this game is more about fun, style, and strategy than serious warfare.
Last Flag Gameplay

From what the developers have shared, here’s what you can expect from the gameplay of Last Flag. This is not your usual tactical shooter. It’s fast-paced, wild, and wrapped in the glittery packaging of a 1970s game show. The core idea: two teams, two hidden flags, and one big race to capture, return, and defend the flag for victory.
Each match begins with both teams getting 60 seconds to hide their flag anywhere on the map. These maps are colorful outdoor arenas filled with creative hiding spots — behind waterfalls, inside ruins, tucked into strange corners. After that, the game kicks off with a full-on hunt. Players scramble to find the enemy’s flag using clever teamwork and control of radar towers.
Once someone captures the flag, they need to haul it back to their base. But grabbing the flag isn’t enough – you need to defend it for a full minute to secure the win. That’s where things get intense. Moreover, you don’t get eliminated in this game; instead, you’re sucked offstage and sent to the green room to respawn. That means constant action and zero downtime.
The real charm lies in its Contestants. As of now, there are ten in total, each with bold personalities and playstyles. And the game is built from the ground up for players who want competitive fun without the stress. It’s a mix of hide-and-seek, capture-the-flag, and a primetime performance, all in one.
Development

Night Street Games is the studio behind Last Flag. It’s a fresh indie team, but the names behind it are anything but unknown. The studio was co-founded by Mac Reynolds (Imagine Dragons’ manager) and Dan Reynolds (lead singer of Imagine Dragons). That already tells you they’re going heavy on style, music, and vibes.
But don’t sleep on their game-making chops. Sound designer Dave Lowmiller – who’s worked on titles like Call of Duty, Dead Space, and Battlefield – is on board, along with Grammy-nominated producer JT Daly. These folks are bringing legit AAA audio and design experience to the table, even if the studio itself is indie.
Trailer
Last Flag was revealed with a brief trailer that introduces several of the game’s unique characters, each with their own distinct class and playstyle. We get a first look at Contestants like Julius Reeves (Bounty Hunter), Alejandro (Soldier), Camila Barbosa (Weapons Engineer), Peter Makinen (Lumberjack), Hazuki Masako (Archer), and Parker Spencer (Scout).
The trailer also offers quick glimpses of gameplay, showing off the game’s energetic tone and competitive vibe. If you haven’t seen it yet, definitely check out the video embedded above!
