Vendetta Forever: Everything We Know

Good news, folks. You can play Vendetta Forever’s demo, currently out on Quest 2 and Quest 3. And from the looks of it, the demo kicks the ball out of the park. From catchy music to riveting gameplay, gamers seem to be sold on the upcoming VR experience. Essentially, if you loved Super Hot, Pistol Whip, and Bang Bang Slice, you’ll feel well at home. But if you’re still on the fence about it, check out everything we know about the upcoming game Vendetta Forever game below.

What is Vendetta Forever?

Shoot Vendetta Forever

Vendetta Forever is an upcoming frenetic shooter game. It blends Super Hot and Pistol Whip’s vibes to usher in a one-of-a-kind action VR experience. The game’s most standout feature is its “lo-kill-motion” mechanic. As the developers describe it, the mechanic pushes players to kill enemies so they can move around the arena. Fortunately, you can dive into the demo as early as now to experience lo-kill-motion firsthand. The demo is free and includes five frantic scenes. Still, if the early reviews were anything to go by, Vendetta Forever seems to be shaping up to skyrocket to a place among the greats in the genre.

Story

Vendetta Forever

Vendetta Forever places all its focus on the action. It thrives on “kill now, ask questions later” gameplay. With that in mind, it’s possible the developing team will reveal the official story description for the game. As of now, though, the upcoming game has no specific plot.

Gameplay

Machette

Embark on a thrilling action VR experience where rapid-fire meets tactical gunplay. The developing team has stated that the upcoming game will draw inspiration from classic action cinema. It’s pretty vivid how true that is, with acrobatic movement and a prime focus on decimating waves of enemies. On the game’s PlayStation Store, gamers are incentivized to look forward to “100% gunplay.” Meanwhile, scan through the key features you can expect in the final game below.

Key Features

  • Lo-kill-motion: It’s the all-new feature Vendetta Forever’s marketing material has been highlighting. On paper, it means that you have to kill enemies to move around the battle arenas. In practice, though, it’s more frenetic as waves of enemies come at you, and you have to make split-second decisions to survive.

Lo-kill-motion is a prime factor for survival because, as much as it’s a traversal mechanic, it’s also a defense mechanism to evade incoming fire. Well, there are three use cases if you factor in killing enemies beforehand to activate the mechanic. The more you play, the more you’ll develop tactical gunplay. Sure, you only have a millisecond to decide which gun to grab, but with time, you’ll realize that your playthrough will take on a certain path that may or may not lead to winning the game.

  • Classic action cinema: Stages will be dipped in a stylish aesthetic reminiscent of cult cinema. Moreover, you’ll bounce from intense shoot-outs to hi-tech hijackings from as high as 30,000 feet. All the while, you’ll decimate enemies in all sorts of gory ways, from blasting headshots to slicing them in half. To top it all off, Vendetta Forever will feature a synthetic soundtrack that matches the high adrenaline flow of combat.
  • Weaponry: You’ll have your usual pistols and sniper rifles. Weapons will vary, yet they will all test your ability to lock on targets and fire precise shots.
  • Rinse and repeat: The stages will feature nonstop gunplay, collectibles, modifiers, and a global leaderboard to sharpen your skills and win the crown.
  • Overall, you can look forward to over 60 stages, 20 modifiers, over 50 weapons, and over 50 achievements.

Developer MeatSpace Interactive and publisher nDreams are currently working on Vendetta Forever. You probably know MeatSpace Interactive from their work on Bang Bang Slice, which is pretty similar to the upcoming game. nDreams, on the other hand, is an expert specialist in developing and publishing VR games. They have worked on groundbreaking titles like Synapse and Frenzies. Besides Sony and Meta, nDreams is the world’s most prominent VR developer. With the already positive acclaim of the free demo, Vendetta Forever is shaping up to be yet another VR experience worth jumping into.

Trailer

VENDETTA FOREVER Announce Trailer | nDreams | Meta Quest & PS VR2

nDreams has released an announcement trailer for Vendetta Forever. It’s short and sweet, showcasing the graphics and gameplay you can expect in the final game. The lo-kill-motion mechanic looks smooth. You can grab enemy guns mid-air and even grab two guns at the same time. As you grab them, you teleport toward the enemy in a frantic but exhilarating way. The trailer alone jumpstarts the senses as you jump between different rooms and shoot from the sky. There’s a high chance of motion sickness as the gameplay looks pretty fast and distorting. Still, it all syncs together perfectly, blending gory-ridden bodies with tactical gunplay. And from the demo, you can expect to sweat it out a bit, with the latter levels posing a steeper challenge.
