Enchanted by Nature continues the shine in Sims 4 with new content. Enchanted by Nature pack adds a magical twist. This expansion brings fairies into the game, along with glowing skin, enchanted outfits, and plenty of nature-inspired items. Players can now create fairy Sims with new customization tools in Create-a-Sim and build cozy forest homes using fun, fantasy-style furniture. The pack has a calm, relaxing vibe and gives players new ways to express their creativity. But is the magic just for show, or is there real depth here? The Return of the Fairies

Fairies are the main focus of Enchanted by Nature, and visually, they’re stunning. EA gave players lots of control when creating fairies in CAS. Players can change the size, shape, and color of their wings. There’s even a special paint tool to design your own patterns. Fairies also get glowing skin, unique ear shapes, magical eye options, and gentle floating movements that make them feel truly special.

In the game, fairy Sims can float around instead of walking, interact with plants, and leave behind glowing sparkles. Surprisingly, they don’t need to eat or use the bathroom, which fits their magical lifestyle. These small touches make them feel different from regular Sims in a fun and nice way.

However, the fairy life state doesn’t offer much gameplay depth. Unlike vampires or spellcasters, fairies don’t have a skill tree, powers to level up, or goals to work toward. They look magical, but they don’t do much beyond a few special actions. Consequently, this may disappoint players hoping for a more developed supernatural experience.

Magical Looks

The most exciting new feature in this pack is the ability to make fairy Sims. Just like vampires and mermaids in The Sims 4, fairies come with two forms: a regular Sim form and a fairy form. You can link them to look the same or design each one differently. That means you can give your fairy a magical look in one form while keeping the other form more normal, or make both equally magical.

One of the best things about fairies in CAS is their wings. Players can choose from many wing shapes and sizes: big, small, long, round, shiny, or simple. Some wings look like butterfly wings, while others are more like glass or leaves. Even better, players can use the wing paint tool to color them however they want. This tool lets you draw patterns, fade colors, or create your own designs, similar to the pet paint tools in other packs. Additionally, there are also fairy face presets and some unique eye options for fairies. It’s a great system for storytelling.

Hairstyles and Skin Effects

This pack includes some of the best hairstyles The Sims 4 has ever added. Many of them are inspired by nature and fairy tales. Players get fancy updos, long flowing hair, curly styles with tinsel, braids with leaves, and even slick, wet-look hair that pairs well with other shiny features. Notably, a lot of these styles come with small details like flowers, headbands, or vines built into the hair.

On the other hand, the skin gloss effect is another cool new option. It gives your Sim shiny, dewy skin that glows under light. You’ll find it under the “Skin Effects” category in accessories. It can make your fairy Sim look magical and fresh, almost like they stepped out of a waterfall or a dream. Unfortunately, this shiny skin is only for fairies. Players can’t use the new skin tones or gloss on their regular Sims, which limits creativity a bit.

In addition, in the eyes section, you’ll find beautiful new fairy eyes. These include rainbow styles, flower-shaped pupils, and large, glowing irises. Some even look like dragon or animal eyes. What’s great is that you can use these on any Sim, not just fairies. 

Additionally, the accessories in this pack are amazing. There’s a whole new “Head Decorations” category that includes things like floral crowns, antlers with jewellery, and leafy headbands. Some of these items are beautiful and elegant, while others are absurd and fun. There’s something here for every kind of fairy or nature Sim.

Jewellery is also included. The pack features clover earrings, fan-shaped earrings, and necklaces with nature symbols like keys, vines, or gems. Makeup is also improved. You get new face paints with magical themes, glowing patterns, and painted cheek designs. Altogether, the accessories and face features feel fun, fantasy-driven, and well-made.

A New World

Inis Green is the new world included in the Enchanted by Nature expansion, and while it has a cozy, storybook feel, it falls short of magical expectations. The world is divided into three neighbourhoods: a peaceful countryside, a gnome-filled village, and a mystical forest area meant to house fairy Sims. Notably, each zone has its own vibe and visual identity, helping to make the world feel diverse.

Visually, Inis Green fits the theme well. The terrain is perfectly green, with winding paths, dense trees, and charming details scattered throughout. The little village area adds a touch of life with its market stalls and shops, including a grocery store, fish stand, and bookstore. However, these shops are mostly rabbit holes and don’t offer any meaningful gameplay, which makes them feel like missed opportunities.

The most disappointing part is the fairy forest area. For a magical-themed pack, it lacks sparkle. There are no glowing plants, floating lights, or fantasy effects to set the tone. It feels more like a regular park than a fairy haven. While the world is peaceful and pretty, it doesn’t offer the kind of visual wonder that would make it stand out among other Sims 4 worlds. Overall, Inis Green is a nice addition for builders and storytellers, especially those focused on nature-themed gameplay. But those expecting a truly enchanted experience may find it underwhelming. 

Traits

Alongside the visual updates, the pack includes three new traits and three new aspirations that help you match how a Sim looks with how they behave. This is important because in The Sims 4, a great Sim is about both style and personality. The first trait is Plant Lover, which is perfect for Sims who love gardening or just enjoy being outside. These Sims connect emotionally with plants and treat them like friends. 

The second trait, Mystical, gives Sims a stronger connection to both nature and the magical world. These Sims learn gardening and apothecary skills faster, and they can give a Sacred Blessing that increases balance, a new feature in the pack. The third trait is Disruptive, which is the opposite. Disruptive Sims like to cause chaos, mess with others, and harm plants. They also gain mischief skills more quickly but struggle to stay balanced.

As for aspirations, there’s one for fairies specifically. It focuses on discovering your fairy identity and influencing others, especially gnomes and other fairies. Then there’s Elixir Enthusiast, which is all about learning potion-making. This matches the new apothecary skill and rewards Sims for crafting and collecting herbs. Overall, these traits and aspirations make your CAS choices matter during gameplay. You’re not just making a cool-looking Sim, you’re making a Sim that feels complete.

Enchanting Builds

Build Mode is the best part of this pack. It includes many fun and creative items like arched windows, mushroom furniture, mossy textures, and nature-themed decorations. Players can build a complete fairy home without needing other packs. When it comes to colors and designs, they feel natural and magical. Many of the pieces blend indoor and outdoor living really well. It’s easy to create a house that looks like it belongs in the woods. 

However, for a nature-focused pack, there are not enough magical plants in this simulation game. There are no glowing trees or fantasy vines, just a few wall decorations. It feels like a missed chance to add more atmosphere. Similarly, some items are hard to find in the catalog, and there’s no single bed included, which is odd. Still, Build Mode offers the most creative value in this pack and will appeal to players who enjoy building unique, magical spaces.

Verdict

Ultimately, Enchanted by Nature is a beautiful pack with a cozy, fairy-themed style. The wings, build items, and peaceful world all look great. If you enjoy building magical homes or creating fairy characters for storytelling, you’ll enjoy it. The strongest part of this expansion is how it looks. The build mode items are creative and well-made, and fairy Sims bring a dreamy vibe to this popular simulation game. 

However, the actual gameplay is light. Fairies don’t have any skill trees or powers to unlock. Once you see them fly and glow a bit, you’ve seen most of what they can do. The new traits feel small and don’t change how you play in a big way. The world, Inis Green, is pretty but doesn’t include much to explore or interact with. This pack isn’t for players who want deep systems or long-term goals. But if you’re looking for something calm, creative, and visually pleasing, it does the job well.
