PlayStation Plus to Receive 50 Ubisoft Games by 2023

To help evolve the newfound PlayStation Plus subscription platform, Ubisoft will be adding up to 50 games to the library by the end of the year.

With Ubisoft+ launching alongside the upgraded version of PlayStation Plus just last month, subscribers are now looking to both factions for the next influx of playable titles. At present, the tiered system boasts hundreds of games over a number of console generations, a lot of which include PS5 day-one exclusives. According to a recent blog post, this library will now make way for a treasure trove of classic Ubisoft games.

“Ubisoft+ Classics initially launched with 27 Ubisoft titles, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Division, and For Honor, as well as classic games like Child of Light, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, Watch Dogs, and Werewolves Within, with plans to expand the library to include over 50 titles by the end of 2022,” the post reads.

So, what comes next?

Starting tomorrow (July 19th), PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive seven classic Assassin's Creed games: Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry, and Assassin's Creed: Rogue Remastered. This marks just the first step towards the 50 games the blog post initially promised. So, with that, you can expect plenty more from Ubisoft over the coming months.

As for what games will follow the Assassin's Creed upload, that's really anybody's guess. Chances are, though, we won't have to wait long until Ubisoft announces the next batch.

PlayStation Plus can be purchased in one of three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium, with costs starting at $9.99 a month. Note that Ubisoft+ only comes included with the Extra and Premium tiers.
