MUDANG: Two Hearts – Everything We Know
Korean developers are not fooling around, with the latest MUDANG: Two Hearts showing just how far they’re willing to push the envelope of modern gaming. The combat sure does look cold and brutal, and I’m here for all of the explosions, bullet storms, and everything in between.
More than that, I can’t help but get giddy over the political-fueled story. A “unified Korea,” sounds bonkers but intriguing at the same time. And, perhaps, it could shed some light on the political unrest the world is facing right now.
I so hope EVR Studio goes deep and big, as massive as the resources allow. And in turn, a series might follow. For now, though, let’s take a look at what the developers have been working on for some years now in our MUDANG: Two Hearts – Everything We Know article below.
What is MUDANG: Two Hearts?

MUDANG: Two Hearts is an upcoming story-driven, third-person, action-adventure game. Three things it plans to center its story and gameplay on are cinematic storytelling, tactical stealth, and visceral combat.
Meanwhile, its main focus is on a near-future unified Korea, albeit with political volatility of its own. Masked terrorists siege the heart of Seoul. In response, Ji Jeongtae, a military soldier, is sent to stop the attacks. But he runs into a K-Pop star called Gavi and is assigned a new mission: protect her at all costs.
In time, the two protagonist’s stories intertwine, and a terrifying truth begins to unfold.
Story

Although a unified Korea sparked worldwide celebration, dark forces began to spiral in the shadows. And on the day of the passing of the pivotal bill, a terrorist group struck the South Korean National Assembly. As a result, chaos and mayhem sprout throughout the region.
Enter your character, a North Korean special forces operative called Ji Jeongtae. You’re assigned to a dangerous mission to stop the terrorist attack and foster peace. New mysteries arise, with a sudden rise in civilians with uncontrollable rage.
Tensions continue to spread across the land as you track down the terrorist group. And although you finally catch a timely break in your investigation, the South Korean military decides to enact martial law.
Meanwhile, a K-pop group, called ORDO, prepares for their first state-sanctioned concert. And you’re assigned to the security detail of the event. But things go sideways when the terrorist group attacks the stage, and you uncover a chilling truth involving ORDO’s leading artist.
This only scratches the surface of the drama and political intrigue MUDANG: Two Hearts has in store. What’s more? The developers plan to incorporate “a state-of-the-art performance capture pipeline, fluid motion-matched animations, open-ended level design, dynamic spatial audio, and intelligent AI” in the cinematic story.
You’ll be searching for a chilling truth that will lead you to uncover “falsified information, engineered emotions, and manipulated beliefs.” You’ll fall prey to uncontrollable rage and innermost beliefs that have been sculpted by “unseen hands.”
Gameplay

MUDANG: Two Hearts promises a ton of narrative drama and action. It plans to use stealth action against enemies. However, you can always switch to melee combat and full-on aggressive combat. It’ll all depend on your strategy and creativity with approaching enemy encounters. The game promises “tactical realism,” with Steam highlighting that the combat draws inspiration from real-world Korean Special Forces missions. Further, the soldiers in the game move and react like the Korean military, thanks to motion capture technology.
Given the realistic take on combat, it’s great that the levels give you room to experiment, too. You can explore multiple routes, for instance, and vantage points on an open-ended level design. You can use the shadows to hide, crawl through vents, hang from pipes, and more. The options for gameplay are plenty, using the environment in different ways to defeat enemies. Your abilities and weapons, too, are deeply varied, featuring mines, EMPs, grenades, goggles, and more.
Enemies
MUDANG: Two Hearts’enemy AI also promises absolute intelligence in reacting to your actions. They will have search parties and raise eyebrows on curious activities like disabled lights or drawing footsteps. And when they suspect your presence, they’ll raise an alarm. Meanwhile, they’ll coordinate their attacks, using the same gadgets and weapons you have against you. Watch out for the different enemy types too, including the tank infantry, saboteurs, and grenadiers.
Bosses
Boss battles, on the other hand, will be a test of your mastery of combat. They’ll vary deeply, pushing your skills to the limits. Along with combat is the narrative, which promises a truly exceptional cinematic and dramatic flair. There are no loading screens or cutscenes, only a seamless flow between story and gameplay. And, as you make vital decisions during your playthrough, the story will adapt alongside you, shaping your journey to be unique and meaningful. So, sit tight. This one’s going to be a wild ride.
Development

EVR Studio, the developers and publishers behind MUDANG: Two Hearts, is based in Korea. They have been working on the game for a while now, codenamed “Shaman” (Project TH). And have been keeping us in the loop of the development process via the MUDANG DEV DIARY YouTube channel.
Trailer
At last, the MUDANG: Two Hearts trailer is out. And it sure doesn’t disappoint. This one is shaping up to be a truly wholesome adventure, carefully balancing the scales between stealth, tactful combat, and dramatic storytelling. The protagonist reaches a point where they’re not fully human. So, that’ll definitely be interesting to see how their “rage” and new persona affect the gameplay and character development.
Release Date, Platforms, & Editions

MUDANG: Two Hearts is coming in 2026, with no exact release date just yet. However, we do know it’ll launch on next-gen PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. But, the editions remain unknown. For now, you can follow the official social handle for more development updates. Alternatively, be sure to add the game to your wishlist to show support for the developers, as well as receive a notification as soon as it drops.
