Interviews
Lucas Stolze, CEO of ExitLag – Interview Series

ExitLag, the pioneering tech firm that spearheaded the evolution of optimal performance and efficiency in the online gaming space via its reliable software, has just this moment released two new packages, Duo, and Squad. To learn a bit more about these memberships, as well as touch base on the future of ExitLag and its goal to broaden the scope of high-powered gaming in the competitive and traditional world, I caught up with CEO Lucas Stolze.
Hi, Lucas. It’s great to hear from you. Before we delve into the latest developments in the ExitLag ecosystem, please could you introduce yourself to our readers?
Lucas: Hi Jord, great speaking with you! My name is Lucas Stolze and I am the CEO of ExitLag. As CEO, I wear many hats including overseeing the company’s strategic direction, innovations, new platform features and partnerships. Specifically, ensuring our platform and technology continue evolving to meet the demands of gamers, whether they’re professionals or casuals, and offer the best gaming experience. One way I accomplish this is through connecting with our community of gamers to understand how they think and feel about ExitLag and ensure we’re addressing their feedback.
Please could you tell us about the core services that you provide at ExitLag? What is the in-house software, in a nutshell, and how exactly does it work?
Lucas: ExitLag is a software designed to enhance performance and optimize internet routing for online games. Our primary product is a multi-path optimization algorithm that connects users to multiple routes simultaneously and selects the most efficient path in real time. The end result is significantly reduced lag, jitter and packet loss. With more than 1,000 titles, we are constantly updating our software to support both new releases and patches. One of our key distinctions is that gamers can run our software simultaneously with other applications without impacting their performance. This provides a seamless and uninterrupted gaming experience.
ExitLag has also released two new plans—Duo, and Squad—which will allow members to share a single log in and reap all the same benefits. Could you tell us a bit more about each of these new plans and how they work?
Lucas: We recognize that many in our community are friends or families who game together, so we designed these plans to meet their needs. Whether it’s a father-son duo playing in the same house or a group of friends spread out across multiple regions, these plans allow them all to maintain a stable connection tailored to their individual experiences. Additionally, these plans allow eSports teams to achieve consistent connections whether they’re practicing or playing in a competitive environment.
The duo plan allows the subscriber and one other person to use the same login simultaneously. They can choose between a monthly, quarterly, or annual subscription. The squad plan allows up to five gamers and offers the same subscription options. While squad plans cost more, they essentially work out to nearly the same cost per person as the duo plan.

From the looks of it, ExitLag has quite the collection of supported games in its network, too. Could you tell us about some of the most popular games that you currently host and support?
Lucas: We support games such as Valorant, World of Warcraft and Fortnite, among others. Currently, Fortnite stands out as one of, if not the most popular titles in our collection. When it comes to Fortnite, especially in build mode, ping and packet loss are critical factors that can make or break gameplay. Fortnite recently hosted its Championship Series (FNCS) which is comprised of the top competitive players in the world. To ensure competitive balance, the competition is hosted in person to ensure no external factors, such as ping or packet loss, impact the gameplay. Our goal with ExitLag is to deliver this same competitive advantage, no matter where you are in the world.
Between sourcing new games for the software and unlocking ways for members to enhance their connection speeds, you must be ridiculously busy! Tell us, what’s next for ExitLag? Do you have any plans to further develop your product over the coming months, perhaps?
Lucas: We’re always thinking about what’s next for ExitLag and how we can improve our software to meet the demands of the evolving gaming landscape. We recently launched a new AI-powered version of our software which included a redesign of our user interface and enhanced performance tools. As for the future, I can’t disclose too many details but we have major plans to bring new offerings that both our dedicated players, and new players, can be excited about.
It seems only right that we should stay up to date with all of the latest developments in ExitLag’s universe. Please could you tell us where we might be able to source more information? Are there any social channels, newsletters, or live demonstrations that we should know about?
Lucas: You can find us on Facebook, X and Instagram. We also have a Discord channel where players can read more about announcements and updates, leave feedback, receive support and join the discussion on everything ExitLag.
Is there anything you would like to add before we go ahead and wrap things up?
Lucas: Our community is our priority. We value their feedback and rely on it as we strive to make ExitLag the future of gaming. We’re committed to making the gaming experience as enjoyable and accessible as possible. Whether you’re a competitive player like Bugha or a casual gamer, we aim to elevate their gameplay so they can compete at their best, no matter where they are in the world.
Sounds great! Thanks for your time, Lucas!
