Sony Reportedly Working on New Hardware Including a PS5 “Pro” Controller

Sony Interactive Entertainment is preparing to unveil several new hardware products, including a PS5 ‘Pro’ controller.
Tom Henderson, a well-known insider, obtained this information when his source provided him with photographs of the prototype to back up his assertions. According to the report, Sony will soon unveil the PS5 Pro Controller, as it’s known informally but may not be the official name. Later this month, Sony will unveil many new pieces of hardware.
While writing for Try Hard Guides, Henderson stated that this gamepad is codenamed, Hunt. According to Henderson, the new controller has a few critical distinctions from the current PlayStation 5 controller. However, the controller, which is being pitched as a “genuine professional controller, ” features most of the PS5 DualSense design.

According to reports, the new controller will have replaceable analog sticks. This would make replacing drifting joysticks, which has become a significant concern in the industry, a lot easier. One can replace faulty analog sticks that have drifted by removing the stick units instead of replacing the entire controller.
The new controller will also feature Paddles (rear buttons), which are customizable buttons on the back of the controller that are available on various third-party controllers. Henderson refers to them as “flappy paddles,” which are probably comparable to those on Microsoft’s Xbox Elite Wireless Controller. In addition, the controllers have trigger stops, which are grips on the shoulder buttons. They reduce the time it takes to press the shoulder buttons. According to the reports, the new controller will also feature removable grips that will make it easier to hold.
Sony New Hardware Reveal Dates
Henderson alleges that Sony plans to unveil the controller among several other pieces of hardware by the end of June. However, he emphasizes that he has no idea if the company would announce the controller at the same time. Sony may also confirm God of War Ragnarok‘s November release date at this same event. However, Henderson maintains that this is still up in the air.
