Meanwhile, the manga pretty much follows the same thread of the high school student, Rakurō Hizutom, adopting the gaming moniker, Sunraku, and being particularly fond of playing “poorly made games,” including the popular VR game, Shangri-La Frontier.

Both the anime and manga series have been well-received, citing great characters, fun fights, and overall an easy-to-follow story. So, for fans who’ve been dutifully following the anime and manga, you’ll be happy to know that a mobile RPG is coming your way. We expect the game adaptation to follow the story, character, and fight format. Nothing with complex mysteries; rather, something to unwind after a long day.

Story

As developer Netmarble Nexus has confirmed, the story will adopt the characters and themes of the anime and manga. In fact, the original cast from the anime will be reprising their roles in Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi. For one, Yuma Uchida will be playing the role of the protagonist, Sunraku, while Rina Hidaka will be playing Emul. There are more exciting characters to look forward to, a few of which have been showcased in the trailer.

So far, we have two trailer videos released within the span of two years. Evidently, the game is still in development. However, we can at least catch glimpses of the mechanics and graphics to expect in the final game. Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi will use stylized graphics to render its 3D world.
