You only have until February 10, 2025, to do so, which is coming up fast. So, hurry up while you still can. For all the hunters looking to make the most of the limited-time event, here’s everything you need to know about Post Malone’s Murder Circus.
What is Post Malone’s Murder Circus?

The biggest limited-time event of Hunt: Showdown 1896 is live now. It’s called Post Malone’s Murder Circus and promises the deadliest and darkest carnival to date. It’ll run from December 12, 2024, to February 10, 2025. So, that means that it’s already live now, and you had better hurry and get it from the official website.
Story

Briefly, Post Malone’s Murder Circus will have hunters exploring a circus-themed compound wherein plenty of danger and exciting adventures await. It’ll be the place to really test your survival skills as you evade the bone-chilling laughter of the Circus Grunts and the gnashing teeth of the Ursa Mortis monster.
Ursa Mortis is the abomination merging of two bears and then put through the Corruption of an artifact called HelioStone. It’s made the nightmarish monster able to sense any blood cuts, persistently chasing you down and attacking you when it catches up to you. However, you can stand your ground; take your chances, with caution, of course, and win a random Trait in return.
As the website describes the map, Post Malone’s Murder Circus will be a twisted carnival where everything dark and deadly thrives. The HelioStone is fast corrupting the folk here, including Post Malone himself, who plays the role of the Deposed King as well as former Ringmaster. The circus doesn’t always exist, only appearing randomly in peaks, swamps, and the plains of the bayou and the gulch.
Furthermore, you’ll be able to access the returning, newly remastered Lawson Delta map.
Gameplay

The gameplay will be the same first-person shooter you’re used to in Hunt: Showdown 1896. However, there are slight variations and additions to note.
Troupes and Pledge Marks
For starters, you’ll be choosing Troupes, which are factions of either the Trickshooter, The Mystic, or The Ringmaster. Depending on the troupe you choose, you’ll enjoy unique Traits.
- The Trickshooters are proficient at weapons and tools, wielding the Blademancer Trait. It’ll let you retrieve your blade in Dark Sight, including ripping it out of injured enemies, causing double damage. That, along with the Crack Shot Trait, cuts down on weapon spread and recoil while upping your ADS, although for specific weapons.
- The Mystics can use Dark Sight to manipulate their surroundings as well as track down enemies. They have the Poltergeist Trait, which can use doors, windows, bells, and more to your advantage. There’s also Beetle View to distract enemies and Blast Sense to enjoy super hearing of nearby noises.
- Meanwhile, The Ringmasters thrive on mind tricks and combat. Its Shadow Crush Trait can use Dark Sight to wound and kill enemies. Corpse Seer, on the other hand, extends Dark Sight time when you loot from other hunters, regardless of whether you have a Bounty Token.
Furthermore, pledge marks will be earned by collecting event points, for which every pledge mark is worth 25 points. In turn, you can use Pledge Marks to unlock new Traits. You first need to vow to a certain Troupe and then work your way up to unlocking its Traits.
Additionally, you can accumulate up to nine Pledge Marks. Mind you, it’ll be possible to loot Pledge Marks from others. So, be sure not to hoard them too much.
Fortune Telling Machine
At the fortune-telling machine, you can cash in your Pledge Marks. This will give you a random reward. Other ways to earn rewards are popping the balloons at the circus and, in return, receiving Event Points. Further, Post Malone’s Murder Circus has exclusive Skins and new hunter choices.
Shredder
The shredder is a new weapon. It releases sawblades into enemies’ guts and explodes on impact. Or it can ricochet off of walls and surfaces and strike enemies. However, you can only find one shredder in each Bounty Hunt mission. Also, you’ll need five Pledge Marks to unlock or via the Murder Circus battle pass.
Overall, Post Malone’s Murder Circus features a better Lawson Delta map. It revamps the Shooting Range to Gen9 standards. You enjoy more equipment animations as well as tweaks, fixes, and adjustments, all in line with the feedback the team has been receiving.
There’s a new Recovery Slot, which lets you enjoy more health boosts. There’s also a new subsonic ammunition type, which, while slower, makes less noise than the standard ones, allowing you to move more stealthily.
