Pokémon Legends Z-A Release Date Unofficially Announced
Amazon UK might have just accidentally let slip the release date for the long-awaited sequel to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Legends Z-A. Naturally, just as soon as the global online retailer spotted this mistake, the firm removed the information almost immediately. As with anything that often falls through the net, though, it didn’t exactly take all that long for fans of the series to notice the major detail and begin stapling it to the likes of Reddit and other keystone social networks. Now, if it turns out to be more than just a placeholder, then it could just be that Pokémon Legends Z-A launches as both a summer game (we’ll touch base on that in a moment), as well as a potential launch title for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2.
Pokémon Legends Z-A Will Be Targeting a Summer Launch, According to Amazon UK
According to the recently vanquished Amazon UK listing—a link that, again, the retail empire was quick to rectify in light of their technical slip-up—Pokemon Legends Z-A will be aiming to launch on Nintendo Switch on August 15, 2025. As this date does indeed land on a Friday—a day that is frequently the most likely for fresh releases to hit the shelves, unsurprisingly—it could be that this unofficial date is a lot more than just a temporary placeholder for the retail market.
Of course, until either Nintendo or Game Freak formally announce the proposed launch date for Pokemon Z-A, it isn’t worth putting all of our eggs into the one basket. If, however, the “leaked” release date is operating in tandem with the upcoming launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, then we might just have a day-one launch title on our hands. Fingers crossed we’ll be hearing more about both projects in the near future.
