This mysterious game is a great addition to the most anticipated RPGs in 2025. The title is a turn-based RPG narrating a grave attempt at stopping The Paintress from painting death again. Once a year, a mysterious paintress awakens and paints a number on a monolith, and the number decreases each year. Shockingly, everyone bearing the age of the number she paints turns to smoke and fades away. A brave group of people seek her out and stop her before they are erased from history. Gustave, the protagonist, and his party set out on their mission, and one can only hope they succeed before their time runs out. 

7. The Relic: First Guardian

The fate of the kingdom of Arsiltus rests in the player’s hands in this remarkable action RPG title. A great void devoured this once great kingdom after the destruction of the great relic. Arsiltus is now in ruin, and death reeks in every corner. Players embark on a quest in this semi-open world as guardians, gathering the pieces of the broken relic to seal the void. The journey is filled with peril, and one has to master their skills to uncover the secrets of the land and bring back peace. 

6. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

It is a dark and troubling time in the land of Shu during the late Ming Dynasty. A mysterious phenomenon called Feathering plagues the land, giving rise to monstrous mutants. Wuchang, a female pirate, awakens to find herself amnesiac and in the middle of the epidemic. As Wuchang, you must dig into the mysteries of your past to uncover the truth behind the darkness that lies before you. Players must master their fighting skills and enhance their arsenal to increase their chances of survival in battle in this dark, soul-like narrative.

In a time of chaos in China’s five dynasties and ten kingdoms, the land is experiencing political rivalry, power struggles, and war, defining this historical period. A player embarks on a journey as a young martial artist in this action RPG, shaping your destiny and identity. Players course through beautiful landscapes filled with fun and danger in equal measure. They interact with different characters, creating their story through the choices they make. 

4. Phantom Blade Zero

As one of the most anticipated RPGs, Phantom Blade Zero features a combination of Chinese martial arts, complex machinery, steampunk, and other complex elements. You play as an elite assassin named Soul, who serves a powerful organization called The Order. Soul, framed for the murder of The Order’s patriarch, is on the run from The Order, who seek to harm him. During the manhunt, he is gravely injured but saved by a powerful mystic’s magical cure. However, the cure only grants him 66 days to live. Players must seek out the person who framed him before his time runs out. 

3. Fable

Fable is an interesting RPG title where the choices made by the protagonist drive the game’s narrative. Players assume the role of a young orphan boy with a dream of becoming a hero. Set in Albion, the protagonist takes on quests, attempting to understand what happened to his family. When he performs good deeds, he receives good points that result in a positive appearance and alignment. However, evil deeds get him evil points, which result in a negative appearance and alignment.
