LET IT DIE: INFERNO

Once again, Uncle Death is back, and he’s turning up the heat. Not surprisingly, if you remember the original Let It Die, you probably recall how tough and weirdly addictive its punk rock, skateboarding Grim Reaper vibe was. Since its 2016 release, it has blended chaotic roguelike action with Souls-like challenge, gaining fans despite its harsh difficulty. After nearly ten years and a forgettable spin-off, Let It Die is rising again with LET IT DIE: INFERNO. This full-priced sequel ditches the free-to-play model and promises something bigger, darker, and way more intense. So, here’s everything we know so far about Uncle Death’s fiery amazing adventure.

What is LET IT DIE: INFERNO?

LET IT DIE: INFERNO

At its core, LET IT DIE: INFERNO is a third-person action game. But that’s not all. It blends slow, punishing combat that Souls-like fans will recognise with the unpredictable chaos of roguelikes. Every run feels different. On top of that, the world is strange, surreal, and full of dark humour. You’ll see things that feel off in the best way, twisted, weird, and oddly funny. As a result, this mix keeps the tone fresh and the stakes high.

Moving on, there’s the style. Gritty. Punk-inspired. Loud. Everything, from the environments to the character designs, leans into that raw, chaotic vibe. It’s not just a look; it’s an attitude. This is a follow-up to the original from 2016. Meanwhile, it holds onto the wild energy and twisted charm while dialling everything higher. The world feels more intense. The action hits harder. And the weirdness? Even weirder. In short, if you like action games with bite, style, and a sense of humour, LET IT DIE: INFERNO is worth checking out.

Story

Story

The story begins in a world shattered by a massive disaster called Earth Rage. Soon after, a massive, bottomless pit called the Hell Gate tears open the ground, and from that moment on, nothing is ever the same. What’s worse, nobody really knows how deep it goes, and no one has tried to explore it. Yeah, they never come back. Here’s the twist: hidden deep in the pit is the Eye of the Reaper, a crystal with enough power to control everything.

Right in the middle of this chaos is a Raider. He is an immortal adventurer who can die, come back, and even swap bodies to keep the fight going. Above all, he has to fight monsters and humans who’ve completely lost their minds over greed. In addition, they’ll stop at nothing to claim whatever power they can.   Plus, your only real safe spot? Iron Perch, a floating base far above the madness below. Along the way, you’ll meet a bunch of wild characters from the Raiders Association ready to back you up through the nightmare. All in all, LET IT DIE: INFERNO throws you into a wild, unpredictable world. Therefore, it’s not just a survival game; it’s a whole new experience where embracing the madness is the ultimate prize.

Gameplay

Gameplay

You play as an immortal Raider trying to survive the deadly depths of Hell Gate. First of all, you choose from different characters, each with their own melee weapons, and the combat’s all about dual-wielding and mixing your gear to unlock cool special moves. Moreover, timing your attacks to break enemy guards and finish them off is super satisfying. Even better, it rewards skill and encourages aggressive play. Also, you’ll fight nasty creatures, deadly Yotsuyama enemies, and even other Raiders after your SPLithium. Oh, and you have to find food to survive, too.

Here’s the twist: when you die, the game sends your death data into other players’ games. As a result, you show up as a tough enemy for them.  On top of that, the whole world resets often, which means new gear and challenges show up. Additionally, if you’re into PvP games, there’s a mode called Death Jamboree where you can battle other players. And yeah, all of this is overseen by Uncle Death, a grim reaper who’s basically a skateboarding hype man for your crazy adventures.

Development

Development

Leading the chaos of LET IT DIE: INFERNO is SUPERTRICK GAMES, Inc., a studio that clearly knows how to blend brutal action with wild creativity. Once again, they team up with GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc., the publisher known for taking bold swings in the online space. Together, SUPERTRICK and GungHo bring their signature flair back to life, literally. Thanks to GungHo’s backing, the game gets the spotlight it deserves. So, whether you’re a longtime fan or diving into the Hell Gate for the first time, this entry keeps the franchise’s weird charm alive while cranking up the action in every direction.

Trailer

Let it Die: Inferno - Announce Trailer | PS5 Games

To start off, the LET IT DIE: INFERNO trailer is pure chaos, and honestly, it kind of rules. Right from the start, it opens with this massive, ominous crack in the earth, that’s the Hell Gate, and yeah, it looks like the kind of place you don’t come back from. Immediately, it sets the mood: creepy, dangerous, and weirdly stylish. From there, it kicks into high gear. Raiders drop in, weapons flying, fists swinging. On top of that, the fast combat is up close and brutal, with everyone wielding something deadly in each hand.

Meanwhile, the trailer jumps between all kinds of madness. Quickly, monsters come out of the dark, other Raiders turn on you, and the map shifts beneath your feet. Then, Uncle Death skates in like he owns the place, looking like a reaper just here to cheer you on. All in all, it looks like LET IT DIE: INFERNO isn’t just survival; it’s stylish, bloody, and totally unhinged. No doubt, that’s the best kind.
