Halo Infinite Online Campaign Co-Op Test Release Date Announced

Halo Infinite‘s campaign co-op beta will finally begin in July. 343 Industries has announced that it will launch a test phase for Halo Infinite campaign co-op that will last ten days.

The 10-day event runs from July 11 to July 22. Anyone who buys the Halo Infinite campaign or has a valid Xbox Game Pass subscription can participate. Halo Infinite‘s Online co-op can support up to four players simultaneously, with full cross-play support.

The co-op testing will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PC. Console and Xbox users will need to register for the Xbox Insider program. Microsoft has provided a guide on its support site. Those who use Steam will also need to join the Halo Insider program and become a member. 343 recommends joining Halo Insider by July 5 to participate. However, individuals who choose to play elsewhere have no such restriction.

Players need to download a new campaign test build to access the beta. Once you begin, you won’t be able to carry forward any progress from your previous save. Similarly, the progress will not transfer back to the game. Players will also be able to repeat the Halo Infinite campaign missions throughout this time, thanks to a new feature called Mission Replay. The new feature was not available during the game’s launch.

In an interview published on the Halo Waypoint blog, principal Software Engineering Lead Isaac Bender and Lead World Designer John Mulkey have detailed all facets of the beta, including how co-op works.

Halo Infinite was the first game in the series to go on sale without a campaign co-op mode. Halo Infinite‘s campaign co-op will fully launch later this year, according to 343 Industries. Since the game’s launch, the developers have postponed the game’s cooperative campaign and level-editing Forge Mode several times. Campaign co-op and Forge mode have yet to get an official release date.
