10 Best Creative Islands on Fortnite (January 2026)
It isn’t always easy to find the best creative islands on Fortnite. That’s because the islands that users have created are so many. Everyone can create and edit 50 islands at a time, and the server can run tens of thousands of these. So, as you can imagine, most of what you’ll find is, uh, trash.
Browsing through the maps won’t always reveal the most entertaining ones. Certainly not whether they have been implemented uniquely and functionally well. So, let’s ease out the browsing process for you by compiling the best creative islands on Fortnite this month.
10. Nuketown – Gun Game FFA (7660-9295-0449 by cudas)
Yet another case of “someone already thought of it,” and implemented it pretty well. Presenting Nuketown, CoD’s own favorite maps of all time. It’s all about racking up killstreaks here, as you take down enemies in the first-person. But besides skill, your build matters a-plenty, unlocking the best guns and fine-tuning them to your play style. Have what it takes to dominate Nuketown in CoD and Fortnite? Speaking of domination…
9. Domination – 6v6 TMNT TDM (8079-2349-5598 by sandstudios)

Say what you will about the ninja turtles, but when it comes to saving New York City, they never lose. And while there are a bunch of TMNT-inspired versions of the best creative islands on Fortnite out there, Sand Studios TMNT’s version does pretty well to implement engaging gameplay.
You should easily get up to speed with the popular 6v6 domination rounds. Here, you’re capturing different zones on the map and defending them against opponents. All through, you’ll unlock TMNT-themed weapons and power-ups that help you rack up a whopping 1000 points to win.
8. The Upside Down Stranger Things (7488-7635-2923 by brantore)

Yup, Stranger Things has a place in Fortnite, too. And it’s surprisingly eerie, like you’d expect, even with the cartoony aesthetics of Fortnite. In The Upside Down, you’re an explorer of Hawkins, Indiana, braving your way into the mirrored side of the world, where fearsome Demogorgons and mind-numbing Vecna await.
7. Demon Hunters for Photography (6707-0219-6085 by hisui-kazura)

“I’m done hiding, now I’m shining…” is still stuck in my head. And if you can believe it, there’s a Demon Hunters map inspired by the film. Rumi, Zoey, and Mira return in Fortnite spirit, this time to specifically dabble in fortography. The hype has died down, of course. And it shows in the decreasing number of active players. It’s a good thing, then, that you’re simply reminiscing by taking pics of your favorite skins and film-inspired assets.
6. Aim Edit Piece Control & 1v1 Freebuild (5112-1759-8096 by ollyzb)

Lots of Fortnite maps are designed to help you get better. And Aim Edit Piece-types, in specific, help sharpen accurate and precise shooting. You’ll find more than 100 practice drills that focus on honing aiming, controlling reloads, and optimizing your builds. Whether noobie or pro, this map will get you one step higher than the competition.
5. Delulu (by epic)

Delulu can be the solulu, depending on how you play the next entry to the best creative islands on Fortnite. This map creates a world of deception, but also friendship in equal measure. Through chatting with players in close proximity, you can forge friendships that help you win in the long run.
But be careful, as those same friendships can turn out to be betrayals. Don’t worry if a betrayal leads to premature death. You can always return as a ghost and dupe those who lied to you (or simply spectate if you’re forgiving).
4. Reload (by epic)

Another cool, creative island by epic is Reload. This one’s racked up a huge player base of the tune of thousands. So, you’ll at least always find people to play with. You get a maximum of 40 players, in a similar battle royale round to Fortnite itself, but with a few wrinkles you can use to your advantage.
The trick is in the freedom to reboot after dying, as long as at least one teammate is still alive. Further, you’re free to loot for the best gear all over again. And more so, kill more opponents to allow teammates to reboot faster.
3. Bed Wars (7048-8422-2298 by goodgamers)

You can play Bed Wars in Fortnite, which mimics the Minecraft OG version. And the rules will be pretty much the same. Every team of three gets a base to defend with their lives. While setting up the best defense, you need to attack opponents’ bases as well, eliminating them one by one, and eventually destroying their base.
Further, you’ll earn diamonds with every kill and opponent base eliminated. These are crucial to help upgrade your base for even more dangerous and longer runs.
2. Liar’s Table (2877-0520-3856 by betjaja)

Catching someone in a lie always leaves you with a witty detective feeling. In Liar’s Table, you can chase that same feeling for fun. Fair warning: it can get pretty addictive that hours easily go by. Anyway, the game plays like a battle royale, where you’re competing to be the best liar left standing.
At its core, though, it’s a board game of cards. It gets pretty funny when you call out liars. And the map itself looks good, designed around a casino theme, with players sitting around the decking table.
1. GO GOATED! Zone Wars (3305-1551-7747 by theboydilly)

Indeed, GO GOATED! Zone Wars has long been “goated” by Fortnite players, whether rookies still finding their footing or professional FPSers leaving everyone else in the dust. And you might expect it to be this elaborate map with tons of creative environments. But the creator, theboydilly, went, instead, for a simpler, smaller version of Fortnite.
In teams of four, with up to 16 players, you enter the smaller-sized island, looting the best weapons, and building defenses with resources in the environment. So, pretty much Fortnite, except the smaller size puts players in closer proximity and makes combat faster-paced. Because of this, GO GOATED has become a hotspot for noobies’ training or simply sharpening FPS instincts.
