It is also a single-player match. The official press release for Across the Unknown stated that the players will determine the outcome of the Voyager itself and all the crew members. They will also have full responsibility for making sure they have resources and working out how to manage them. They have to make the heavy choices, organize repairs, and make their way to our home system with every person intact. 

The gameXcite director emphasized how excited he was to contribute to building the iconic universe in the game. He adds that the goal of this match is to give players the con and let them chart their own course through the unknown. The craft made its way back home in the film's season finale. Furthermore, many of the show's characters have appeared in other parts of the franchise. These include Janeway and Chakotay, who were important characters in Star Trek: Prodigy. Also, Seven of Nine was featured in Star Trek: Picard. Aside from those few, both Paris and Kim took part in Lower Decks, while the Doctor will return many years after the events of Voyager.
