RoboCop: Rogue City — Unfinished Business — Everything We Know
If you’re someone who grew up with the ‘80s RoboCop sci-fi action movie, then you’ll love RoboCop: Rogue City if you haven’t played it already. Part man, part machine, RoboCop is a legendary detective upholding law and order throughout dystopian Old Detroit. But he’s haunted by the fragmented memories of the life he used to live as Alex Murphy.
In the upcoming Unfinished Business DLC single-player, story-driven expansion, you’ll play some parts as flashbacks of Alex Murphy. However, the biggest chunk of the gameplay will be clearing out Omni Tower of an invading horde of mercenaries sworn to spill innocent blood.
With 2023’s RoboCop: Rogue City already so good, remaining largely faithful to the over-the-top action in the movie, fans are already hyped for the new game. But what can we expect from RoboCop: Rogue City — Unfinished Business?
What is RoboCop: Rogue City — Unfinished Business?

RoboCop: Rogue City — Unfinished Business is an upcoming new standalone DLC expansion of 2023’s RoboCop: Rogue City. It’ll be a first-person adventure as well, featuring elite mercenaries who have taken over OmniTower. Playing as RoboCop, your mission will be clearing out the tower, floor by floor, as you restore order and justice to Old Detroit.
Story
RoboCop: Rogue City’s story was one of the juiciest movie adaptations that gaming has seen. We anticipate that the Unfinished Business expansion’s single-player campaign will be no different. It’ll still star the famed RoboCop, part man, part machine who upholds law and order as part of the police force.
Picking up where the base game left off, RoboCop has just emerged victorious over Old Detroit’s menacing gangs. It leads to the beginning of a new chapter unraveling via a standalone expansion taking place right after the events in RoboCop: Rogue City.
While you’ve just slain the New Guy in Town, the streets remain plunged into chaos and crime. In comes OmniTower, OCP’s latest massive housing complex that sparks hope. It’s meant to put a roof over the residents of Old Detroit. However, a group of elite mercenaries wielding hi-tech weapons siege control of the building. They barricade themselves in it, turning the building into their fortress.
This is where RoboCop comes in, to flush them out and crumble their plans to destroy Old Detroit.
Gameplay

It’ll take destroying the mercenaries floor by floor until you cleanse OmniTower of all evil. While grueling, RoboCop will be well-equipped for the job, though, of course, needing skill and wits to outsmart the competition.
Your opponents aren’t just your everyday criminal gangs. They are deadlier elite mercenaries who wield advanced, cutting-edge weapons. They’ll unleash flying drones, anti-personnel turrets, and exploding bots on you.
As you sweep OmniTower floor by floor, you can expect deadly traps and elite mercenary troops waiting to rip you apart. The mercenaries themselves are varied, from those who wield miniguns and heavy armor, to squads who carry jet packs and enemies proficient in the art of swordplay.
To even the odds, some of the enemies you face will also be part man, part machine. Yet RoboCop’s arsenal is up to the task. You’ll be forced to be ruthless, maximizing the power of deadly weapons like the iconic Auto-9 and all-new Cryo Cannon. RoboCop: Rogue City — Unfinished Business will also add devastating finishing moves like smashing skulls against concrete and throwing enemies into vending machines.
In a unique twist of events, fans of the RoboCop franchise will have the chance to play Alex Murphy, voiced by Peter Weller. Once an ordinary cop, Murphy is a brave detective. Yet he still is more vulnerable to Old Detroit’s numerous dangers.
You’ll have unique missions curated around Murphy’s career, with some characters being familiar. However, your adventures as Murphy will provide a different perspective of Murphy’s law enforcement journey, alongside being interconnected with the story in RoboCop: Rogue City — Unfinished Business.
Development

Developer Teyon and publisher Nacon are working on RoboCop: Rogue City — Unfinished Business. The duo did such a great job with the RoboCop: Rogue City base game. You truly feel like you’re starring as RoboCop and impacting Old Detroit’s future.
Teyon operates from Poland and has worked on other successful games like Terminator: Resistance, Monster Truck Championship, and more. Meanwhile, Nacon is headquartered in France and has published games like Terminator: Survivors, Hell is Us, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, Ravenswatch, and more.
Who knows? Perhaps we’ll be getting a RoboCop vs Terminator game from the duo sometime in the future? They’ve done such a great job with Terminator games and RoboCop: Rogue City that fans can’t help wishing for more.
Trailer
Nacon has just released the reveal trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City — Unfinished Business. It showcases the action sequences you’ll be jumping into, closely resembling the ‘90s Judge Dredd’s sci-fi action movie. Perhaps the line “What do you want us to be? Judges?” is a hint of a possible adaptation of Dredd. Lord knows fans will be happy with Teyon and Nacon’s already proven track record reviving cult classics.
In any case, the fighting scenes already spark intrigue. It’ll doubtlessly be just as fun as the base game was and possibly feature throwbacks to the original ‘80s RoboCop movie.
Release Date, Platforms, & Editions

RoboCop: Rogue City — Unfinished Business is coming in the third quarter of 2025. Unfortunately, that’s as far as we can narrow down the release date, with Teyon and Nacon hopefully revealing a more concrete release date closer to the launch window. We can confirm, though, that the upcoming DLC expansion will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms.
For now, you can add the expansion to your wishlist on PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam. This will allow you to get a notification when it drops. While the respective store pages are already up, it appears it’s still too early to preorder. We also don’t know the price of the expansion or whether it’ll have any editions. If there are any future announcements, you can keep track of them via the official social handle here.
