Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 – Map, Skins, Content, Realease Date

Fortnite Chapter 6 has been ongoing since December 1, 2024, when Season 1 launched and wrapped up on February 21, 2025. “Demon Hunters,” the first season in Chapter 6, focused on a Japanese-themed event centered around the yokai, demon hunters, and Japanese culture.

Soon after, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 kicked off from February 21, 2025, to May 2, 2025, when Season 3 is presumed to begin. The current season, titled “Lawless,” revolves around crime, specifically orchestrating heists and getting away with gold.

With the end of the current season soon approaching, it’s time to look forward to Season 3. Even though the current season already has dedicated fans gobbling it all up, it’s all the more reason we’ve been compiling everything we know about the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 below.

What is Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 3?

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is the upcoming 35th seasonal event in the Fortnite: Battle Royale. It’s presumed to begin on May 2, 2025, when Season 34 ends, as has always been the case with previous seasons.

However, you can expect a scheduled downtime between seasons that usually lasts about two to three hours. The game’s servers will be offline for this duration to allow for maintenance and the new season’s patch updates to go live.

The release date is still a ways off. So, it’s understandable that Fortnite remains tight-lipped about the upcoming season’s content. However, several Fortnite teasers and leaks have revealed prime information about the new season’s theme.

Story

fortnite

Although the content for the upcoming season is still sparse, the socials have been going crazy with leaks about what we can expect. We can’t ascertain whether these leaks are true as Epic Games has yet to put out an official confirmation. However, more often than not, Fortnite leaks ahead of the upcoming seasons tend to be true.

In any case, the socials suggest that the new season will be themed around none other than Disney’s own Star Wars

It’s not surprising that Epic Games would collaborate with Disney. They have done so in the past. Between 2022 and 2024, Epic Games has added Star Wars-themed content to Fortnite, including LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival, to celebrate May 4th, a fan-made holiday celebrated as Star Wars Day or “May the 4th be with you,” drawn from the Star Wars phrase, “May the Force be with you.”

Furthermore, the upcoming season is expected to launch on May 2, 2025, which will be just in time for May 4th (Star Wars Day). So, all roads certainly seem to be leading toward Star Wars being the theme for the new season.

A Star Wars-theme season will mean players wielding lightsabers and Force powers in the Battle Royale. These are actually familiar mechanics in Fortnite, with lightsabers being Mythic Melee Weapons in Chapter 2 Season 1 and Force Powers featuring in the Fortnite Star Wars crossover event. Players could acquire Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Force Push, Anakin Skywalker’s Force Pull, and Darth Maul’s Force Throw when they visit the Rift Gates and complete training.

With The Force abilities, you could pick up objects and throw them at enemies, pick up enemies and toss them aside, and more cool powers. Fortnite players who have tried their hand at the lightsabers and The Force certainly have a clearer picture of how cool the Star Wars abilities can be.

A new “Stayin’ Solo Quest Pack” is expected to launch next week after the v34.20 update. It’ll include an outfit, back bling, and dual-wield pickaxe. Plus, you’ll be able to earn 1,000 V-Bucks after completing XP quests

But that’s not the exciting news. Loolo on X suggests that the upcoming pack could be for a new Han Solo skin. This is likely stemming from the leaks that the upcoming season will be Star Wars-themed.

Epic Games has yet to release an official trailer for the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3. However, we’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled for when they finally do.

Star Wars Theme Leaks and Speculation

far far away

A Fortnite and Star Wars collaboration is definitely plausible. Last year, Fortnite featured Star Wars Day across the Battle Royale, LEGO, Rocket Racing, and Festival modes.

Meanwhile, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, though Greek mythology-themed, featured lots of Star Wars-themed gameplay. However, we’re yet to have a season whose theme revolves entirely around Star Wars.

The extent to which the Star Wars content will be explored remains a mystery. For all we know, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 might be the first season to focus entirely on Star Wars

According to Guille_GAG on X he suggests that the reasons why the upcoming season is most likely Star Wars-themed can all be found in the current season, specifically:

  • A dark presence approaching
  • Zero Shard is from “Far, Far Away”
  • May 2nd start aligns with past Star Wars events
  • Star Wars chest appeared in quests

LEGO Fortnite Odyssey has also released a LEGO Pass from March 11, 2025, to May 2, 2025, that renames its weapons with Star Wars-like names as CraftyPlaysLF on X illustrates:

  • Blaster Rifle to E-11
  • Blaster Pistol to DL-44, and so on.

And then, there’s the matter of Andor, a highly anticipated Star Wars original series, launching on April 22, 2025.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 Release Date & Platforms

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 – Map, Skins, Content, Realease Date

It’s only a few weeks away to launch day. So, even though we can only confirm the release date at the moment, with most of the content in this article derived from leaks and speculation, it won’t be too long until we can be sure about the next big thing Epic Games has in store for us.

Meanwhile, you can keep track of any new information Epic Games puts out via their official social media handle.
