Many gamers out there enjoy the thrill of living entirely different lives through simulation games like Sims 2. Here, players act out the lives of characters called Sims. You create, dress, build, and furnish houses for your character. Additionally, you govern their lives from birth till death. During this time, players form relationships just like they would in real life. The Sims 2 Legacy has some of the best expansion packs in the Sims franchise, making it a huge fan favorite. In this article, we discuss each pack and rank them from worst to best.

8. Pets

Pets

The The Sims 2 Legacy holds several pre-made families and animal-themed lots to move into. You can adopt new families or create your own from the new Create-a-Pet system. Previous pets like cats and dogs make their return. Players can choose from and customize over 30 different cats and 70 breeds of dogs as a template. Further, the game casts new pets, like birds and gerbils, which are less challenging to take care of.

The expansion again introduces werewolves, which stunned many gamers and continues to feature in other titles in the Sims series. Moreover, The Sims 2 Legacy expands on the gameplay, permitting pets to have careers and earn income.

7. Seasons

Seasons

Changes in the weather add a touch of realism to The Sims 2 Legacy. The pack introduces new features that were a much-needed change from experiencing sunny days daily. Now, Sims has to adapt to rain, snow, and other weather patterns. Seasons include a new neighborhood, Riverblossom Hills, where players engage in fun activities like gardening in greenhouses, raking leaves, skating, bug-hunting, and making snowmen.

They could also suffer the effects of extreme weather, like heat strokes, sunburns, or freezing out in cold weather. Additionally, Sims can get struck by lightning and hail, resulting in their death. Pets can also interact with the new environment. For instance, they can eat snowballs or chase bugs around. PlantSims was also introduced in this pack, featuring green plants that reproduce asexually.

6. FreeTime

Free Time

Freetime is a remarkable pack that features amazing activities and improves the general well-being of the characters. With this pack, players can now explore new wants, skills, talents, and career paths. Sims can indulge in multiple passions that have matching careers. You can pursue each hobby in many different ways. For instance, if you’re interested in cooking, your Sim can watch food-centric TV shows to improve their cooking skills, learn new recipes, or compete in food contests. The new hobbies in The Sims 2 Legacy are mostly physical, while others, like birdwatching or bug hunting, offer more subtle ways of passing time.

5. Bon Voyage

Travelling

Everybody loves vacationing in exotic destinations with many relaxing activities in their itinerary. The Bon Voyage sim expansion pack offers several vacation packages where you get to escape the monotony of the everyday life of a Sim. Players can explore a woodland area or a beach and go on a beautiful adventure into the cultural contrast of the Far East. Each location offers different activities, from camping to relaxing in a hot spring. Further, they offer accommodation, tours, and souvenirs.

Learning other cultures and skills while on vacation alters your Sim’s life when they return home. They can choose to advance their career or develop new wants. The most stimulating yet bizarre activity is hunting and befriending Bigfoot so he can move into your household.

4. Open for Business

You can also take over a community lot in the town or city nearby. The pack introduces a new district called the Bluewater Village. Sims have access to a bakery, toyshop, flower shop, electronics store, and even a nightclub, where you can go as a client or set up shop.

Players can also build an android, Servo, that does free labor around the house as long as it receives proper treatment. To build it, players need to earn enough talent badges. In addition, you can hire and fire employees, add stock to your inventory, and design everything in your business.
