Supermassive Games Is Working on Another Six Dark Pictures Games

Supermassive Games has made quite the platform for its Dark Pictures brand over the years, and it’s only likely to evolve as more players flock to its side to feast on its horrors and story-driven experiences. The question is: how far will the devs go before finally pulling the plug on the series?

As well all know, the next chapter in the beloved anthology is The Devil in Me, which is due to release later this year. But it also happens that Supermassive Games is working on not just the one sequel—but six full-length games for later years.

Spotting the titles and their usual Dark Pictures logos earlier, one eagle-eyed Twitter user was quick to snag a screenshot and share it with the world. Now, providing all featured titles are set to be video games and not movies — then this could mean the saga will push through to 2028, and maybe even further.

Let’s talk titles…

Included in the six spotted entries was “Switchback,” “Directive 8020,” “The Craven Man,” “Intercession,” “Winterfold,” and “Presents O Death.” Of course, we wouldn’t usually get our hopes up in most cases. However, seeing as all filed trademarks came with the usual Dark Pictures crest and were all slapped under the Supermassive label, it does seem like a sure-fire thing. Whatever the case, it’s evident the dev isn’t through with adding chapters to the anthology. At least not for another seven years, anyway.

If you’re looking for something a little more concrete, you can follow Supermassive over on the official social handle here. Failing that, then The Dark Pictures Anthology here.

So, what title piques your interest the most? Are you looking forward to playing The Devil in Me later this year? Let us know over on our socials here or down in the comments below.
