Oblivion Remastered: All Classes, Ranked

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered breathes new life into Bethesda’s 2006 classic. The version features modern mods, enhanced textures, quality-of-life improvements, and improved gameplay systems. When you enter the game, the first and arguably most crucial decision is creating your champion. You have the freedom to create a custom class. However, the game has 21 pre-made classes for you to choose from.
To help you choose the right one for your adventure, we have ranked all 21 base classes in Oblivion Remastered below.
21. Bard

Bards are adventurers who blend light magic, persuasive charm, and some melee skills. Even though Bards may face challenges due to limited defenses and a lack of magical support, strategic skill development and tactical engagement can compensate for these weaknesses. The class favours dialogue-driven quests and support-based mechanics rather than front-line combat.
20. Monk

Monks focus on fighting with their hands and don’t use armor. While this is unique, it also makes them weaker than other classes. Hand-to-hand combat doesn’t deal as much damage as weapons; they are easy to hurt without armor. They are fun for a challenge, but not the best for beginners.
19. Witchhunter

Witchhunters use a mix of ranged weapons and magic. This sounds good in theory, but they often feel underpowered in practice. Their skills are spread out, making them weaker in each area. If you like the idea of a magic archer, this class still appeals to you, but it requires more effort to be effective.
18. Oblivion Remastered- Archer

Archers use bows to deal damage from a distance. While this can be fun, they lack the stealth skills to help ranged fighters avoid danger. Without sneaking, they can get caught and overpowered. They can still be helpful, but other classes do the job better.
17. Oblivion Remastered-Night blade

The class turns players into stealth spellcasters who blend magic and agility. Players can use Destruction magic to deal with damage and Restoration magic for healing. Additionally, they have blade weapons like daggers and shortswords. Their favored attributes are Speed and Willpower, which allow for fast movement and effective spellcasting.
16. Pilgrim

Pilgrims are resilient travelers who have physical combat abilities and social skills. The class has skills such as speechcraft, healing, and melee. Players have blunt weapons and light armor, allowing them to handle combat situations effectively. In addition, their skills in mercantile and speechcraft make them adept at trading and persuasion. The two skills are advantageous in various interactions throughout the game.
15. Rogue

The Rogue blends stealth and combat so players can fight with light weapons and sneak around when needed. However, they don’t stand out in either role. They are good at many things but not great at anything. In the remastered version, fast-paced, agile builds are more responsive. Therefore, Rogues outperform many classes in both dungeons and open-world ambushes.
14. Healer

Healers are all about support. They use magic to keep themselves and their allies alive. While they are not the best fighters, they shine in group situations. If you like helping others and playing a support role, the Healer is a great pick. Be careful in solo battles, as they do not do much damage.
13. Sorcerer

Sorcerers focus on magic like Mages, but they don’t use armor or weapons. Instead, they rely on magical defenses. They are powerful with spells, but are easier to hurt if not careful. They can be very strong in the hands of a smart player, but they need more strategy to survive.
12. Assassin

Assassins are deadly in the shadows. They use sneak attacks to deal huge damage and prefer to strike before enemies see them. While they’re great at taking down enemies quietly, they can struggle if caught in open combat. This class is best for players who enjoy planning and being patient.
11. Barbarian

Barbarians are effective for players who prefer a direct approach to combat. They have raw and substantial physical power and agility. These aspects allow them to deal significant damage in the field while dodging attacks. Also, the combination of strength and speed enhances their attack abilities and movement. This makes Barbarians effective at starting attacks and dodging counterstrikes.
10. Knight

Knights are proud fighters who use heavy armor and swords. They also know a bit of magic, such as Illusion, to confuse enemies or escape trouble. Knights are brave and loyal, and their mix of skills makes them great for players who want a noble hero type. They might not have the flashiest abilities, but they do the job.
9. Acrobat

Acrobats are fast and agile. They focus on jumping, dodging, and using speed to their advantage. They don’t wear heavy armor, but they can avoid many hits with quick movements. Their light weapons and athletic skills make them good for hit-and-run attacks. This class is great for players who like to move fast and stay out of reach.
8. Agent

The Agent is a stealthy class that relies on sneaking and using tricks. They also use Illusion magic to go invisible or charm others. This makes them great spies and thieves. The Agent will fit your style if you enjoy sneaking around and using your wits. They can avoid fights or end them quickly with clever moves.
7. Knight

Knights are proud fighters who use heavy armor and swords. They also know a bit of magic, such as Illusion, to confuse enemies or escape trouble. Knights are brave and loyal, and their mix of skills makes them great for players who want a noble hero type. They might not have the flashiest abilities, but they get the job done.
6. Battlemage

Battlemages are similar to Spellswords but lean more towards magic. They wear heavy armor but focus more on using powerful spells in battle. While they might not hit as hard with weapons, their magic gives them an edge. This class is great for players who want a tough spellcaster to handle enemies up close or from a distance.
5. Oblivion Remastered- Thief

The Thief is a top-tier game, especially for stealth-based gameplay. The class is perfect when avoiding confrontations and performs well in situations that require agility and precision. The Thief focuses on stealth, lock picking, and ranged attacks. Therefore, players can navigate through challenges by avoiding opponents and exploiting weaknesses.
4. Mage

Mage delivers pure magic with high Magicka reserves and a variety of spells. Players can attack with destruction spells, protect themselves with shields, and even charm enemies. Physically, Mages may not be the strongest. But the magic makes up for the class in a powerful way. A skilled Mage can win battles without using a sword.
3. Warrior

The Warrior is a simple yet powerful class. It allows using weapons and heavy armor to deal damage and take hits. In this class, a sword in hand and the strength to swing it will win the battle easily. No spells, no tricks. Warriors don’t use magic, and they don’t have to. With direct combat and a no-nonsense approach to battle, the Warrior delivers a brutally satisfying experience.
2. Crusader

Crusaders are warriors who come with a touch of magic. They wear heavy armor and fight well with weapons. Additionally, they also know healing and a few other spells. While they may not be as skilled with magic as a full mage, Crusaders can survive longer in battles. This is credited to their healing powers. The healing ability also makes them perfect for players who enjoy being on the front line but still want magical support.
1. Spellsword

The Spellsword is one of Oblivion Remastered’s most powerful and well-rounded classes. It combines swordplay with strong magical skills. As a player, you can wear heavy armor, swing a sword, and still heal yourself or cast fireballs when needed. This makes the Spellsword an excellent choice for players who want to simultaneously deal damage and protect themselves. Spellsword is a strong and flexible class that works well in almost every situation.
