Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 is nearly here, precisely launching on February 21, 2025. We’ve come a long way since October 2017, when the first-ever season of the Battle Royale graced our consoles. Year in, year out, Fortnite has delivered quite exciting Battle Passes with fresh maps, crossovers, engaging content, and more. Now that the newest season is fast upon us, we’re compiling everything we know so far about Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 below.
What is Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2?

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, also known as Season 34, is the upcoming season of Fortnite: Battle Royale. In the game, 100 players compete by looting, building, exploring, and fighting to be the last one standing.
The new season has been titled “Lawless.” It seems to be venturing into orchestrating heists and an urban life of crime. It promises to bring new maps, weapons, gameplay mechanics, skins, and more. So, what’s new?
Story

Picking up where the last season left off, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 will feature the sporadic growth of Crime District. Here, gold flows in abundance, banks, and luxury buildings flourish, and rogues flood the city.
The rogues are all at each other’s necks, looking to grab the most wealth. While the new characters all seem motivated to scoop up the most loot, the most vicious and possible villain seems to be the mafia wolf in a striped suit.
He rules his territory with might, while players will likely attempt to infiltrate and steal his crown.
Maps

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 will add a new map to the game. It’ll feature new points of interest and changes to the landscape you’re used to. The new map is a sprawling metropolis called Crime District that features quite a ton of different areas to explore.
You have subway mines that you can use to traverse the island. There’s a heavily guarded bank with a vault that you’ll be robbing. As is typical of heist games, you can expect to dodge surveillance cameras and guards.
Additionally, the mafia wolf crime syndicate mansion will be a vital point of interest. It’ll likely be a place you’ll break into. There are definitely lots of new areas to discover and fresh, nifty details in the environments ushering in the new season.
New Season 2 Boons

Fortnite’s Season 2 Boons bring exciting new perks to shake up gameplay.
- Vulture lets you track where enemies are eliminated, giving you a tactical edge.
- Gold Rush rewards you with extra Gold for opening or destroying chests.
- Greed boosts your Bar collection from eliminations and containers.
- Adrenaline Rush keeps you moving fast by granting the Slap effect whenever you mantle, hurdle, or wall jump, ensuring unlimited energy regeneration for a short time.
- Gold Ammo ensures you never run dry by granting extra ammo when you pick up Bars.
These new Boons add fresh strategy and momentum to every match
Gameplay

You’ll be raiding heavily-guarded banks while also competing against other players for the hefty loot. You’ll be carrying your stolen loot around with you while other players attempt to nab it from you. For the cherry on top, Epic adds new weapons and mechanics to the mix.
From new assault rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers, pipe bombs, and an electric baseball bat to new quests centering around orchestrating heists and robberies, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 seems to hold plenty in store.
Scenes you might expect, like cracking vaults and using lasers to get by security systems, will feature in the new season. Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 will have old and new mechanics. The train from last season returns. However, you can now use automatic turrets on it.
There are armored cars and tweaks to Sub Zero’s abilities, among many more surprises.
Skins

The most popular new skin you can look forward to is Mortal Kombat’s icy warrior Sub-Zero. You’ll unlock Sub-Zero as a secret outfit once you complete the missions tied to his character.
However, there are eight more unique new skins Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 will add to the new Battle Pass. The characters include an elegant Dobberman in a suit, a thieving opossum, and, well, evidently following an anthropomorphic animal theme.
There’s also the rapping pickle-man-like character donning a balaclava and the returning “Reggaeton Midas.” Overall, the new skins all have a theft and crime theme. Yet, they are also unique and varied in their own way.
Prizes

An added incentive to play through the new Battle Pass is the prizes it’ll offer. We can confirm that Lawless will have 14 pages of rewards from the new Midas gangster skin to Mortal Kombat’s Sub Zero.
When you unlock all the pages, you’ll gain bonus rewards that include seven pages of bonus content and three pages of quest rewards. However, to enjoy these goodies, you’ll need to complete side quests that will earn you XP anyway, complete the regular quests, and quick activities that unlock Lawless prizes speedily.
Trailer
A cinematic gameplay trailer for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 has just been launched via YouTube. Although less than two minutes long, the video showcases most of the details about the upcoming season.
It pulls the curtain back on the story, picking up where the last season left off. You steal sneak peeks of Crime District, its darker tone contrasting with the vibrant Fortnite world we know of.
Moreover, the trailer reveals the new outfits we can expect, including a badass wolf and some new unseen characters.
