Thousands of enemies will rush your way, and you have to fight off with it and try to construct buildings like fire towers and healing stations in order to survive.

What is Achilles: Survivor?

It’s more of a single-player bullet heaven game coming in the world of Achilles: Legends Untold. The player will be controlling powerful heroes from ancient Greece that will be battling huge waves of enemies. The action is fast-paced, with masses of enemies swarming the screen, creating tough but exciting challenges. Set in the ancient world of Greek myths, Achilles: Survivor will move its players from different locations and biomes to richly exciting backgrounds.

The game will focus on surviving waves of enemies while getting stronger every time a battle takes place. Characters will build and use powerful structures to help their battle through different stages. Each session brings them back more powerful, equipped, and able to face greater threats. The game will challenge players in using a mix of combat as well as smart planning since they’ll have to keep resources and defenses managed in order to keep surviving.

Story

Achilles: Survivor takes place after Achilles escapes from Tartarus, but he didn’t leave alone. In breaking free, he also unleashed many powerful souls, called survivors, including some he defeated himself. Now Hades went ballistic and sent his armies searching for them. It’s time to fight back on their behalf and save those survivors. You’ll face wave after wave of enemies, battling for survival in this mythological world. This is no ordinary battle; it’s time to go from hero to god of destruction. So, you’ll have to build defenses, unlock powerful abilities, and take on Hades’ forces to prove your strength and survive the chaos.

Gameplay

In Achilles: Survivor, you can expect fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping gameplay where survival is highly fundamental. At its core, the game is more than just dodging and slashing through waves of enemies—it introduces a unique twist with its building mechanics. Instead of fighting your way through the countless foes, you will be able to construct defensive structures to aid you in battle. You may erect burning towers that will continuously burn your enemies or healing stations to keep your character in the fight longer.

What’s more, gameplay will include several playable characters, each with unique skills and fighting techniques. From early on, you’ll be able to take on a variety of heroes from the epic tradition of Greek myth. For example, while Achilles trades in the close quarters melee with the kind of raw power associated with him, he tries his hand at some archery with fine precision.

As you make your way along, the battlefield suddenly becomes very full with wave after wave of enemies. You are going to get tens of thousands of enemies coming at you from all angles, and you are going to be tested on your ability to think on the fly. Fortunately, with each run you collect treasures and unlock new abilities making your character stronger and stronger.

Furthermore, after defeating the waves of enemy after enemy, you will finally encounter the giant bosses, which will pit your full capabilities against your opponents. These bosses will be subjected to planning and full exploitation of the capabilities of both your hero and the structures you built. To that end, there are all bosses to fight and defeat, unlock new characters, abilities, and maps to ensure you never run out of fresh things to do.

Development

Achilles: Survivor is in development and will be published by Dark Point Games, the studio behind Achilles: Legends Untold. With experience within action-packed, mythological worlds, they are now moving towards bullet heaven while keeping the theme of Greek mythology well and alive. The developers will ensure that they very closely collaborate with the community, taking player feedback into the game as a big part of its own Early Access phase. So, this will make Achilles: Survivor an evolving game, as they developed their previous one in light of the players’ interest.
