2K Announces NBA 2K25 Release Date and Cover Stars

NBA 2K25 Release Date

2K has officially confirmed the release date for NBA 2K25 and cover for this year’s game. The publisher has also revealed the game’s editions and other details.

Boston Celtics forward and NBA All-Star Jayson Tatum will be the cover star for the Standard Edition of NBA 2K25. The All-Star Edition will feature two cover stars: Tatum and Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson, a two-time WNBA MVP and six-time WNBA All-Star. Additionally, Wilson will grace the cover of the WNBA Edition, a GameStop exclusive available in the US and Canada.

The 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, Vince Carter, will feature on the cover of the NBA 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition. Carter is an eight-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA Team star.

NBA 2K25 Editions and Price

Here’s a breakdown of the editions and their prices:

  • Standard Edition: Pre-orders for this edition will cost $69.99 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One; £59.99 on PC; and £49.99 on Nintendo Switch.
  • The WNBA Edition, exclusive to North America, at $69.99 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
  • WNBA Edition: $69.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, available only in North America.
  • All-Star Edition: $99.99 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. This edition includes:
    • 100,000 VC and MyTEAM content
    • 10 MyTEAM Player Cards (3 guaranteed to be 89 OVR)
    • 3 Diamond Shoe Cards, 3 Takeover Boosts
    • 1 Amethyst Coach Card
    • MyCAREER content, including 150x Skill Boosts (25 Games), 75x Gatorade Boosts (25 Games), Jayson Tatum Cover Jersey, Jayson Tatum
    • Electric Skateboard Skin and a 2K25 Cover Stars Design T-Shirt
  • Hall of Fame Edition: $149.99, available until September 8. It includes all the All-Star Edition content plus a Vince Carter MyCAREER Jersey, a Season 1 Pro Pass, and a 12-month NBA League Pass Subscription.

NBA 2K25 Release Date

NBA 2K25 will launch on September 6 and will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
