If you decide to explore, proceed carefully and do not open the trapdoor. Interacting with the trapdoor results in an instant death for Ashley, as a Wendigo is waiting behind it. To ensure her survival, resist the temptation to investigate the voice altogether, or at the very least, avoid the trapdoor entirely.

Chapter 8: Stay Neutral

Ashley’s fate in Chapter 10 can be influenced by a minor but impactful decision in Chapter 8. During this chapter, Emily gets bitten by a Wendigo, leading to a heated confrontation. Mike may suggest shooting Emily to prevent her transformation, but the group has the option to intervene.

Ashley can confess that she doesn’t trust Emily, which might encourage Mike to shoot her. However, this action worsens Ashley’s relationship with Emily, potentially creating tension that affects Ashley’s safety later.

To improve Ashley’s chances in Chapter 10, avoid making accusations or expressing distrust toward Emily. By staying neutral or defending Emily, you reduce conflict between the two characters. This choice makes it easier to save Ashley during the lodge evacuation at the game’s climax.

Chapter 9: Make Safe Choices During the Escape

If you choose to investigate, you mustn’t open the trapdoor. Doing so results in Ashley’s instant death. To keep her safe, avoid this sequence by rejoining the group or exploring cautiously without interacting with the trapdoor.

Chapter 10: Survive the Lodge Finale

In the final chapter, Ashley’s fate depends on decisions made by Sam and Mike during the evacuation sequence. To ensure her survival, you need to guide Sam carefully and make strategic choices.

During the evacuation, Ashley’s position in the lineup depends on her relationship with Emily. If Emily is alive and angry with Ashley, Ashley will be the second person Sam helps evacuate. If Emily has died or isn’t angry with Ashley, Ashley becomes the first to escape.

Once Ashley begins fleeing, Sam faces another decision: to hide or run to the switch. Always choose to hide.
