Tattoo Tycoon: Everything We Know
Anything is possible in gaming, including stepping into the shoes of a tattoo artist and managing your own tattoo shop. You probably remember Tattoo Tycoon from when it first launched in 2012. It gained a steady stream of fans who have since been craving a fresh update or new game entirely. Well, you won’t have to wait any longer, as the release window for the new game is just around the corner. But first, do check out everything we know about the upcoming game Tattoo Tycoon.
What is Tattoo Tycoon?

Tattoo Tycoon is an upcoming management simulation game. It tasks players with controlling an up-and-coming tattoo artist. Players climb the ranks from managing a small tattoo parlor to running a multi-parlor business. A significant portion of the game will be selecting the best tattoos for your customers. You’ll design and draw tattoos on customers, transforming their initial interests into stunning tattoos.
Story

Set in Tattuga Bay, Tattoo Tycoon will task you with managing a small tattoo parlor. Slowly but surely, you’ll expand your business across the districts of the bay. Eventually, you’ll be in charge of running successful multi-parlor tattoo businesses.
There will also be a neat backstory. Apparently, Tattuga Bay used to be a hot spot for getting tattoos. Now, all the tattoo shops have been closed except for one last remaining spot. The game gives you the last tattoo shop to manage. It tasks you with building your customer base from scratch. The end goal is to restore the thriving tattoo business that once flourished in Tattuga Bay.
Along the way, you’ll make friends and enemies, too. You’ll meet NPCs ranging from strange characters to troubled ones. From time to time, you’ll get influential businessmen to come into your shop. It’s your job that every customer leaves your shop satisfied with their new ink.
Gameplay

The “tycoon” gaming genre is no stranger to the industry. It often crafts business simulation gameplay that tasks players with building a thriving business from scratch. Tattoo Tycoon is no different, with your usual business management simulation gameplay.
As much as your main job is to design and draw tattoos, you’ll still be in charge of managing your shop. That includes buying furniture for your customers. You’ll also invest in interior design, crafting spaces that attract more customers.
Further, you’ll collect your customers’ thoughts on your tattoo parlor. You’ll ask them the things they like and don’t like about your shop. Perhaps they think your chairs aren’t comfortable enough. Then, you’ll proceed to help them pick a tattoo, keeping in mind you’ll have to offer them designs they will love.
Meanwhile, you can also stock up on other products. From skincare products to t-shirts and posters, you’ll curate services that your customers will appreciate. Moreover, you’ll cater to the needs of your customers beyond tattooing, from serving them coffee or a cold drink to providing them with snacks. If it all sounds like a lot, don’t worry. You’ll be free to hire a team of specialists who have expertise in different areas.
Check out some of the gameplay you can expect in the final game below.
Key Features
- Night and day – You’ll be free to open and close your shop whenever you like. During the time you’re open, you’ll split your attention between multiple responsibilities. You’re responsible for sharpening your tattoo skills and designs. But also, you’ll need to hire new staff and manage the tasks that a tattoo parlor requires.
- Customized customers – All types of people will walk into your shop. Each one will have specific personalities, tastes, and more. As a result, you’ll need wide-ranging designs to cater to your customer base.
- Personal story – Players will control a tattoo artist character who you’ll be free to design and control however you like. Furthermore, you’ll interact with other local characters and build close-knit relationships. Some will need your help with different things, which is one way to build trust. The trust you build will then come in handy in marketing your business. Through word of mouth, your new friends will help promote your business.
- Tattoo competition – When you build a good reputation, you’ll be able to join the prestigious Ink-Vasion tattoo competition.
In summary, you can expect to:
- Unravel a brand-new story with the freedom to create your own character
- Play the role of a tattoo artist who also runs a tattoo parlor and manages a successful business
- Explore Tattuga Bay, moving from one tattoo parlor to another as you like, keeping in mind each tattoo parlor has its strengths and weaknesses.

- Experiment with over 100 unique tattoos while unlocking new customer types, equipment, and skills.
- Meet the needs of wide-ranging customer types.
