Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Title Leaked

With the imminent arrival of Nintendo’s long-awaited follow-up handheld hybrid console finally on the horizon, fans are beginning to ponder the question: which launch games will make the cut, and how many of them will take place in the Mushroom Kingdom? Well, apologies in advance for this, but it seems that one of the launch titles won’t, in fact, be in cahoots with either Super Mario or The Legend of Zelda; on the contrary, it’ll be WB Games’ Gotham Knights that will be throwing itself to the debut catalog. Or at least, that’s what we’ve been led to believe, anyway.

In a recent LinkedIn post made by a game developer (thanks, Doctre81), the creator in question stated that they have actively worked on transporting Gotham Knights to an “unannounced platform.” Of course, this mysterious platform in question could be anything in the world, but given the fact that Gotham Knights has already released on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, it seems only right that the Switch would be the next best choice for it to call its own. It’s the “unannounced platform” part that tickles our brains.

Suffice it to say that, as much as we’re praying for a new generation of Xbox and PlayStation console, neither are likely to surface for at least two or more years. Simply put, with the Nintendo Switch nearing its eight-year anniversary, Gotham Knights is more than likely gearing up to launch on the console’s younger sibling console. Now, as for when Gotham Knights will set up shop on the tentatively titled Switch 2 is another story, as is the case with the console itself. Still, if you’re a die-hard fan of WB Games’ portfolio, then you cast rest assured that one of its latest games will be released on Switch 2 in due course.
