Mario Kart 10 First Details Have Leaked

Prominent industry insider Leaky Panda has shared details on the next instalment to the Mario Kart series.

Shared on the official Twitter handle yesterday, the known leaker pulled a few details from the upcoming Mario Kart 10, despite not having an official release date. And while you could quite easily shoot down such details without so much as a second thought, it is worth pointing out that this particular insider has been on the mark with details in the past. The question is, will the Mario Kart 10 rumors ring true?

According to Leaky Panda, Mario Kart 10, or Mario Kart: Crossroads as others have branded it, the game will feature more than just the bog-standard Mario roster. The insider claims that as well as the usual faces making another appearance, characters from Advance WarsAnimal CrossingARMSBaloon FightF-ZeroKid IcarusSplatoon, and The Legend of Zelda will also bag a spot on the line-up. Furthermore, the game will also branch out to domains outside of Nintendo’s realm. That, of course, means having Ubisoft’s Rabbids platform thrown on the pile.

What else will Mario Kart 10 feature?

As well as new characters joining the roster, the upcoming game will apparently feature crossover courses and items, meaning players can basically expect double the content. Whether or not any of this will turn out to be true is anybody’s guess. However, judging by Nintendo’s habit of meshing franchises together, it doesn’t seem like the most ludicrous idea in the world.

Of courses, the next Mario Kart game will more than likely release on Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED. If you’re waiting on something a little more concrete, you can follow the official social handle here.
