11:02pm: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 takes GAME OF THE YEAR. Huge moment for the team and a massive W for fans.

10:56pm: Highguard has been shown. It launches January 26, 2026 on Steam, PS5, and Xbox.

10:52pm: Nioh 3 is happening! It has a firm release date of February 6, 2026, coming to both PS5 and PC via Steam.

10:50pm: A new Mega Man game is in the works. Mega Man: Dual Override drops in 2027.

10:45pm: BEST GAME DIRECTION goes to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

10:44pm: A new look at Phantom Blade Zero just hit the stage. Sharp combat, slick visuals, and a confirmed launch date locked in for September 9, 2026.

10:32pm: A new stop motion co op game titled Out of Words has been announced. It launches in 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Switch 2.

10:31pm: Star Wars: Galactic Racer has just been revealed. It arrives in 2026 on PS5, Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

9:20pm: MoistCr1TiKaL wins CONTENT CREATOR OF THE YEAR.

9:19pm: Grand Theft Auto VI wins MOST ANTICIPATED GAME.

9:15pm:  Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has been announced. Pre orders are open now. It launches May 29, 2026.

9:11pm: No Man’s Sky wins BEST ONGOING GAME.

9:10pm: Noooo way. this is so cool. The casts of Street Fighter are all on stage. They are announcing the best ongoing game.

9:08pm:  The Game Awards takes us back to the 90’s with yet another big reveal of the night with a Street Fighter cinema trailer. And did I just see 50 cent in that trailer? The movie will come out on Oct 16, 2026.

9:06pm: Gang of Dragon dev trailer drops.

9:02pm: Remedy Entertainment drops an impressive reveal of Control Resonant coming in 2026. The crowd was impressed.

9:01pm: Okay wait… this looks different — what are we about to see?

8:51pm: NO WAY — THAT’S the reveal? Warlock drops a new trailer and announces that it will drop in 2027.

8:48pm: We get another indie game reveal ORDER OF THE SINKING STAR an upcoming puzzle platformer game dropping 2026.

8:44pm: We get a new reveal trailer for Capcom Resident   Evil: Requiem coming out February, 27, 2026.

8:42pm: Nintendo announces new release dates for Duskbloods which will be available in 2026, Finanl fantasy VIII Remake Intergarade dropping Jan 22, 2026. 

8:41pm: South of Midnight wins GAMES FOR IMPACT.

8:40pm: Nintendo announces new realease dates for their games

8:36pm: The creators of Soma Fractional Games reveal a new Sci-fi mystery game in their line up ONTOS coming in 2026. The game will be available for XBox and PS.

8:31pm: Bad Robots Games announce 4 loop to come on Steam and PlayStation.

8:26pm: Jennifer English of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has won BEST PERFORMANCE.

8:21pm: It appears that we’re taking a short break from the awards to witness an on-stage abduction. No, wait. Oh, hang on, it’s the announcement for a cult-like medieval RPG called Divinity. Apparently, it will be “bigger” than Baldur’s Gate 3.

8:16pm: Miss Piggy has joined Geoff at The Game Awards, folks. Don’t ask.

8:14pm: Our first World Premiere of the evening: Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic. The action-RPG will be gearing up to launch on consoles and PC. A release date has yet to be confirmed.

8:10pm: Hades 2 has won BEST ACTION GAME.

8:06pm: The main event has officially kicked off with Geoff Keighley after a bittersweet interlude courtesy of the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 orchestra.

7:59pm: The Last of Us Season 2 has won BEST ADAPTATION.

7:55pm: An anime music video? Not quite. A brand-new comic book-like beat ’em up game called Stupid Never Dies has just been announced for PS5 and Steam. It will launch in 2026.

7:53pm: Studio Day 4 Night has announced wholesome badger-centric puzzler game Bradley The Badger. From the looks of it, the game will blend comical infusions from countless cult favorites including Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us, and Bloodborne. 

 7:51pm: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has won BEST INDEPENDENT GAME.

7:46pm: UMAMUSUME: PRETTY DERBY has won BEST MOBILE GAME.

7:45pm: New gameplay footage showcasing Pragmata has been revealed. You can get your hands on a brand-new gameplay demo later today!

7:45pm: Team Vitality has won BEST ESPORTS TEAM

7:44pm: Chovy has won BEST ESPORTS ATHLETE

7:43pm:  Counter-Strike 2 has won  BEST ESPORTS GAME

7:39pm:  DOOM: The Dark Ages has won the award for  INNOVATION IN ACCESSIBILITY. 

7:37pm:  Audio Mech, a rhythm-based mech game, has been announced for PC via Steam. A release date has yet to be confirmed.

7:35pm: A new first-person thriller game,  Decrepit,  has been announced. Platforms and a release date have yet to be confirmed.

7:34pm:  Donkey Kong Bonanza  has won BEST FAMILY GAME.

7:33pm: A new indie game titled The Free Shepherd  has just been announced for consoles. It will launch in 2027.

7:30pm:  The Game Awards 2025 is officially underway, with long-term host and industry icon Geoff Keighley once again taking to the stage to present what should  be a four-hour banquet for the world of gaming. Fingers crossed we’ll have plenty of world premieres to keep us occupied whilst we hold out for that all-important Game of the Year announcement. Stay tuned!
